Have you ever had the experience of finding out that a IRL friend too, like you, has a rich online life?
Such was my experience on Friday. I was chatting in the park with my friend Stacy. Stacy is a very talented photographer, image designer, photoshop queen, and overall, Super Web Woman. (she usually doesn't wear her cape ) She specializes in wildlife photography, and she has me sitting on the edge of my seat whenever we visit, because she always has a great story to tell about her shots. Go ahead and ask her about the tiger she recently visited, or about the rattlesnake. (Ok Stacy! It's coiled up and rattling! But at least you have your camera in your hands! What are you going to do?)
Anyway, Stacy and I were chatting at the park on Friday, and we discovered that...
we both have blogs!

And such a rich blog she has, too! Yes, it is her daily thoughts, insights, musings as she travels down this path of living. But also, her blog is connected to a ever-evolving program she is developing this year, called The Joy Immersion Project.
Stacy can best explain the Joy Immersion Project: (from the "JIP Explained") " The Joy Immersion Project is a compilation of exercises, essays, and
assignments designed to facilitate the discovery, attainment,
deepening, and appreciation of the joy in one’s life. It is based upon
the theory that those of us who are sick or depressed - indeed, anyone
who is not already filled with joy and general tranquility - are
currently living our lives immersed in fear and negativity. Further,
that fear and negativity acts to keep us sick, unhappy, and depressed,
regardless of other measures we take to feel better."Stacy has compiled her own experiences, research, and gathering of favorite authors and their insights, and is arranging this bouquet into a framework of self-reflection and self-discovery. Even if you already feel generally happy, it is refreshing to read and reflect with the exercises as a nurturing experience. It may help to articulate and explore "stuff" in one's inner or outer world. I had great "oh yeah!" moments while reading and seeing some ambiguous concepts gain articulation in my mind. You may already know much of the information she presents through your own self-discovery, through your own favorite authors, through your faith or prayer, or meditative insights, or through your own life experience. Stacy puts many good things together and brings it to the forefront in a very refreshing, nurturing format. The JIP is truly a labor of love in progress! So please go and visit Stacy...either through the Joy Immersion Project, or her blog.I'm putting a link to the JIP over there in the left sidebar, for future reference, and the link will be marked with her logo...
Door knock dinner...

That's what we had tonight! Do you remember the cooking show, Door Knock Dinners on Food Network? On the show, Gordon Elliot went around neighborhoods with a professional chef in tow, and they knocked on someone's door, and offered to make a classy, first class gourmet meal...from whatever was in the person's fridge and pantry.
That's what I did...it was a "what's in the fridge?" kind of night. So I assembled the ingredients above...that's zucchini, spinach, radishes, wilting basil, olives, garlic....and the iced coffee I was sipping as I cooked.
To that, I added whole wheat linguine, (cooked extra long in a sly attempt to pass it over for softer, regular pasta) scallions, a can of sock-eye salmon, torn up pieces of three slices of cheddar cheese, the leftover feta cheese, and some parmesan cheese ( all very cheesy)
It came out very tasty!!!! (I can still taste it! ) I rank it at about an 8 on a 1-10 scale..it was that good!
Maybe I'll get to enjoy the taste...all night? (that was lots of garlic)
Have a good Monday!
