So my week of craziness continues.  Sunday I was driving up Far Hills on my way to meet a friend, and an Oakwood cop pulled me over.  The first words out of his mouth:  "Did you know that your muffler is a little loud?"  I'm not kidding.  He then proceeded to inform me that my license plates had expired.  Which, since they'd only been expired for six days, he would only know if he'd run my plates.  So my stupid muffler caused this noble public servant (she said with deep irony) to find out that my plates were expired, and me to get a ticket.  Which I can't afford.  Auuuuuugh!

Thing is, I had known that I needed to renew my plates, but I'd totally forgotten.  There was just so much craziness going on.  I feel totally stupid for forgetting something like that.  My big Master Plan is to actually show up for my court date, throw myself on the mercy of the court (looking as cute and helpless as I can), and hope the judge reduces the fine.  Still, Oakwood cops, to thee I say, "Bleargh!"
