Once and it was scary. I found I have an allergic reaction that hard way. Very scary, but exhilerating. Don't get me wrongs I never want it to happen again.

Depends on what you mean by "close", I suppose.  Near collision in a car?  Flatlined and brought back from the white ball of light?  Or somewhere inbe tween.  I've been in situtations like the former, but never like the latter.

mm sort of.... I was in the middle of a Upper GI endescope procedure and was supposed to be asleep but they didnt give me enough to knock me out.. so I woke up and started to freak out... with the camera down my throat I could have punctured my stomach and was told I came very close to doing so. Ugh.

Yes.  I came very close to dying when I gave birth to Kimberley.  I ended up in ICU for nearly 24 hours.  It was a bit unsettling when they finally transferred me to the regular maternity ward and the nurse informs me that I had them all worried the night before because they thought "they were going to loose me."

Its very hard to talk about it for me, but I have faced death when I was with my ex bf, he almost choked me to death, putting a pillow on my head and I couldn't breath, I have been in a very bad relation ship for 6 years, where he would beat me, throw me through the house, and put pillows on my head so I couldn't breath. I was too scared to leave, till I met my husband, he made me see how A woman should be treated, and I left my ex. now I am happily married to my husband, someone who knows how to treat a woman!

I worked in a Nursing home for nearly 2 years and watched a few people die.   Got to be too much for this gal and I had to move on and find something else to do to make a living.

unfortunatly yes when I was 12 I fell down a 40ft cliff and landed very wrong I ended up not being able to walk for 2 months.   Then there was the time I had a allergic reaction to something and my body went into a seizsure and my throat was swelling shut and all I had was my nose to breathe from my husband was freaking out My youngest was 3 months old and I ended up not being able to use my right side of my body for 3 weeks I had to have help to take care of my baby and my other kids and not to mention showers and stuff.  Oh what memories hope that helps at all

I was eating a sub sandwich with some friends once & got choked.  I couldn't breathe & remember as things were fading away I could barely see my friend hitting me in the chest.  I felt the food come out & the air fill my lungs.  I would have passed out in another two seconds if he didn't do what he did.  I remember looking around the resturant at the people just staring at us.

Yep...the meningitis one, but the bad one. I was 4. But I only remember the days when things started to get well.

I've faced death a couple of times.

Both with clients (I'm a psychologist), grown-up ones and babies, as with 2 of my own babies.

I nearly died during surgery (the anesthetic failed, the muscle relaxant was active. So I couldn't breath on my own, but they couldn't get me intubated), after a delivery (nearly bled to death), and when having a severe uterus-infection, which was spreading rapidly.

If you need to know something, mail me.

Good luck!
