This site is currently experiencing some major throbbing and extreme fatigue....diagnosis:  WINEUS CHEAPOLOUS

I spent the whole day out today.  The hub, kids and I went Sunday driving again and also went to eat breakfast (really brunch ) at the local IHOP.  We proceeded to visit the inlaws for late afternoon chit chat.

And I wonder why I'm throbbing?? lol

I have a question for the ladies out there...men, you are welcome to put your two cents worth if it applies to you or you can relate as well...

How many of you ladies when having been in a spat with the hub/lover/significant other have been the one to initiate the Make Up?  I mean, call the truce, say you're sorry or patch things up so things can get back to normal???

Or do you hold a grudge till he makes the move?

Spill it..... I wanna know! lol

Thanks.......cyn

Depends if I am right.....which is always!

Just kidding.  Seriously, I try to let thinks calm down, then I will try to make an effort to smooth things over.  However, I always try to advoid a spat, if there is some sort of disagreement, there is no reason why it can't be worked out.  Sometimes, though, a spat is unavoidable, and even if I did or didn't start it, I will try to call a truce.  That's my two cents.

Hope your head is feeling better. Next time you should try Wild Vines, or Arbor Mist.

I am always the one to apologize...

FOR EXAMPLE:

Tonight: DH and I are 'playing a little rough' and he accidentally hurts me. Rather than love on me, since I am the hurt one, he gets upset because he hurt me and I have to love on HIM!!! What is up with that?!? Good thing I love him as much as I do!! What a lucky guy.

It rarely goes there. He won't fight with me which of course, pisses me off. So I rant and rave and when I run out of steam it is over.

It depends.  If I've been the jerk, I'll apologize.  If Scott's been the jerk, I'll let him be the one to apologize.  We're both pretty good about realizing that neither one of us is perfect and always right, so we always end up talking about it and working things out together.

If we actually argue and it is actually my fault, then I will.  Other than that.. hell no.  He can come on over and make it up to me..

My claim to fame is having held a grudge for over 22 years.  I'm not about to mess with that record.  Not for anyone!!!

It was the Boones Farm Cyn.  hehe!  I am the one to apologize.  I know that sounds dumb coming from a guy.  But, I would rather live in peace, so I just suck it up.

I always do--with very rare exceptions.  Why?  Because I've a very quick temper--I get angry easily, but I also get over it easily.  I can't remember the last time I held a grudge--plus, I can't stand it when I was wrong and don't fess up.  Whereas he, well hell, he'll let ages pass before he admits he's wrong.  And what'd you get at the IHOP?  Was it the Rooty Tooty Fresh-n-Fruity??

I never hold a grudge...if I"m wrong I will apologize and I'm normally the one wrong thanks to me and my fiery temper.

I admit, for the longest time, I was the weeney and initiated the make up.  I still do, but I no longer come at it from the "martyr" perspective.  I figure that it takes a big person to admit they are wrong, and an even bigger person to say, "I am right, but I will allow you to think you are."    For some reason, he thinks he is always right, even when he isn't.  And he just gets really angry if you prove he is wrong.  Life is too short to worry about it anymore!

I admit it...I'm usually the one who says "Let's just say sorry, k?" because I hate that awkward silence that can just drag on.  Once I say that though, everything's peachy.  So...it's me, but I don't mind.

I am ALWAYS the "patcher upper". I like things to stay on course, so I try to hurry and get them there. But sometimes it does make me feel like I am giving up on supporting my point.

Can you be both?  I can't stay angry but I'm bad bout holding grudges.  Probably not a good thing.  I should just stay angry till I'm truly not angry anymore instead of saving it for later

I am shamed to admit it, but I tend to hold grudges, and usually let them make the first move. But it's usually their fault anyway!

Well we are both strong willed but if he was the one in the wrong I never give in he is also very stubborn and takes him awhile to say sorry. I can go days without giving in or talking I learnt that from my dad when we I was young (not always a good thing) .Lucky enough we do not have many fights.

Gary barely ever argues back!  If I'm mad, I'll have the fit, and he'll either just ignore me, or just sit there and listen.  When I'm tired of yelling, it's over.
On the very rare occassion that he's actually yelled back.. I always make up, cuz if I didn't he'd give me the silent treatment for DAYS.. even if he's forgotten what he's silent about he keeps it up.
