http://www.hanzismatter.com

that reminds me of all those tattoos I've seen on people as well as t shirts and such.  Then again plenty of asians wear shirts with engrish on them, but you don't see them tattooing engrish on themselves, do you?  or maybe they do?  I don't understand what's so "cool" with tattooing some chinese character on yourself?  I'd much rather tattoo some hieroglyphics on myself...at least it looks better

The worst shirt I've seen a non-asian wear was the word love, "ai", written on a shirt...instead of the actual character...it was its mirror image.  Interesting.  Then again I've seen countless shirts with those fake chinese characters on them that don't make any sense whatsoever.  Lots of fun when people ask you what it says.  People really shouldn't wear anything in a language they have no clue about...

Hannibal Rising

I finally went to a movie theatre and saw a movie after 15 months.  I was expecting more gore and disturbing images like the Saws, but I guess I've been watching too much CSI to be disturbed by Hannibal Rising.  It wasn't gory at all and it wasn't scary...maybe it wasn't meant to be a scary movie.  It wasn't really a thriller, either, because most people already know what it's about.  The only thing I found disturbing was his relationship with his aunt, Gong Li, in the movie.  That was troubling.  I never really felt the guy was "hot" even after seeing the trailers until some people pointed it out to me.  Seems like that's what most of the talk on IMDB is about anyways, but I must agree with them that I found him hot when he was licking the blood off his glove and when he had blood smeared all over his face.  Other than that he wasn't hot at all in the movie.

I guess it's because I haven't been to a movie theatre for over a year, but wow there were like 6 or more trailers before the movie? I don't remember a single one of them except for the one with the dolls...I don't even remember what it was called.  Something about someone died and had over 100 dolls buried with her..and they kill people...sounds like another Chucky-like movie.  edit: googled and found it's called "dead silence"...

Anyways, thanks for all who wished me a happy bday through any form of communication and I can't wait til HP 7 comes out!

Deathly Hallows!

Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on a copy of it in the morning of its release....I can't believe it's been 10 years since the first book came out...and this book better be worth the waste of my time and neck sprain to read...unlike the 5th book...

The 5th movie's also coming out 8 days before the 7th book.....I can't wait!
