  • Peace out, homies.

In a superbly good mood today.

I was super impressed with the vet this morning. I'd taken Peter (a cat that Rob has now) to Edgewood Animal Hospital previously, but had a completely different experience. I remember the office being crowded, loud, and extremely busy. I arrived, they took Peter, and that was it. Not so, today. After talking with the vet/technician person, it sounds like they may have been bought out by another company... and I can't say I'm disappointed. I arrived, had to wait for just a minute, and then was walked back to an exam room. I chilled out with Lily and Toby for a little while, and then the vet/tech person came in. She talked with me about what I was having done for the cats, discussed different options, verified a few details and then carefully carried them away, one at a time.

I left feeling really good about things... and kind of guilty at the same time. Obviously I feel bad for sending them into a painful situation, but... it's for the best, and they'll be better in no time. I'm really pretty pleased.

Just spotted this website - google's doodle contest, and voted for my favs. You should, too. It's pretty cool. I'm currently waiting to be able to start working on a certain project, listening to Pandora, and dabbling in various work-stuff.

Also - been thinking about this lately. I'm a big fan of google/gmail, but I'm really liking the i'm MAKING A DIFFERENCE initiative that hotmail/msn is doing. For non-related reasons, I just got a new msn/hotmail ID, which is @live.com (which sounds so much classier than hotmail!) I'm really struggling with the idea... I send a decent amount of emails, and the concept that I could actually be making a difference by doing just that... almost too good to pass up. Not that I want to change my email address... again. Something to think about, though... and maybe something for those of you who aren't attached to your email address(es) to check out.

Anyway - that's all I've got for the moment. Peace out, homies.
