| | Ah food...Had fun cooking today. Went to le supermarché early in the
morning and bought a chicken along with some other stuff. Came
back and boned the whole poulet (separated the breasts, wings, thighs
and drumsticks from the carcass) with a cheap Made in China knife. It's
the first time I've done it so I'm proud of myself. For lunch I
had a low carb meal - pan fried the chicken breasts and made a side of
sautéed string beans. I like the string beans here in France for some
reason but don't really like the ones in the States. I made chicken
soup with the wings and carcass and shared it with some camarades
d'étage for dinner. I think I'll make cacciatorre tomorrow with
the thighs and drumsticks. Mmm...my mouth is watering already but it's
an awful lot of chicken for one weekend. Hopefully I won't get sick of
eating it.
I watched Pulp Fiction in French today. The DVD had three options for
subtitles- French, French & French. That's just dumb if you ask me.
Couldn't help but wonder why that was. Anyway since it didn't
have Engish subtitles I missed a lot of what was going on. But
hopefully watching it will have helped improve my French a bit.
I think I have dishpan hands. They're really dry after washing dishes.
I only have one plate, one bowl, a pot and a pan so when I cook I have to keep
reusing the same cookware over and over which means I have to wash them
over and over.
