Just stopping in to read all the comments from everyone. I'm doing a little better, still sleeping a lot but it seems to be helping. My doctors tell me that my immune system is shot, so I'm working on that first of all, taking lots of vitamins, trying to eat right for a change. I've been using some herbal remedies that seem to be helping, but it seems that the rest I'm getting is doing more than anything. My family has been really great about helping out around the house.

A little bit of news since the last time I was here:

1:) For those of you that remember my dog, Wolf...he got snake bit and died last week. We never found the snake but it must've been huge. It bit him in the face and the fang marks were at least a hand width apart. Well, that's going by the size of my hand. I wear a size 4 ring...if that tells you anything. I don't think I'm going to adopt any more pets.

2:) I went to watch Amber in JROTC on Monday. They had award ceremonies for the kids and Amber got a medal. She has decided to stick with it next year, and said she wants to join the military when she graduates. Her gunnery sargeant talked to me about it while I was there. I asked him if she wasn't too little to join the military, because she still looks like a 5th grader. lol Very short and very tiny.

He said that yes, she really was too small but that he was going to recommend her and could probably get her in. He also said that she could do anything that any of the other girls could do despite her size and usually do it twice as well. He told me that all he had to do was tell her that she was probably too small to do something and she'd go right to it and prove him wrong. lol That's my Amber all right. lol

3:) I finished that website on the Sequani Calendar (ancient celtic calendar) that  I was working on and they decided to have me change the graphics, so it looks much better now. here's the link:

http://www.angelfire.com/art2/sequani/index.html

Other than that, I really don't have much to tell you. Everything has been really peaceful for a change. Hopefully it stays that way. :) I miss you all very much and want to catch up a bit tonight. I still don't know if I'll be on much, but I do think of you all very often.

Hey girl! Glad that you're a little better, and hope that you continue to improve. Sorry about Wolf, poisonous snakes are nasty critters. Hope Amber gets to do all she wants in her life, be it military or not... Going to go see the website, I know it will be wonderful!

I'm glad to see you still posting...And sounds like improving as well! :)

I'm also glad to hear that you are taking things easy...Rest is so rejuvinating!

I hadn't known that you could be too short to join the millitary...I know I've seen girls smaller than me running around base...(I'm 5'3"...)Hmmm...Interesting, but, girls generally have a growing spur when they are around 17-19...I know I finally stopped at 21, so...

Just glad to see you posting!

Glad to hear from you!!  So sorry about your dog, damn those snakes!!  Amber reminds me of my Mom, she was all of 5 feet tall, weighed less than 100 pounds and was the fiestiest (??) girl I have ever known and she was in the Military, Air Force.  She also was in the Arkansas National Guard, she loved dressing in her camouflage uniform with her army boots!!  So, you tell Amber she can do anything she wants!!

You sound good and I hope your health returns with a vigor!!  Have a great weekend!!

There is a young lawyer (25) who comes to my shop, the tiniest, just 5', slimmest little thing, with a beautiful face. She said that she got so fed up with being treated like a little girl and not the big strong woman she is, that she became a lawyer. Said her mouth gets her further than any muscles would!

I spent hours looking at the Calender project, your artwork sites, About, and all the rest.  Thanks.

Hi ya Doll.  So glad to see you stopped by and to come here to read your update.  Not so glad to read about Wolf though. Sounds like one hefty snake that got him.  I'm sorry. I know that must have been hard on you.

Please take care and continue to work on getting bettter. Thinking of you and remembering you in prayers. (((((hugs)))))

It's great to see you around! So sorry about Wolf. It's odd for a dog to die from a snake bite, especially on the face. I guess the venom got into his bloodstream through a main artery. Ordinarily, the flesh around the bite just rots & falls off. At least with rattlesnake bites. I don't know about watermoccassin or cottonmouth bites though. I hope the herbs do good for you!
