Okay, so my last blog was a long one, a very long one, but if you want to learn about Wicca and anything that follows, then you must learn what was in that long, long post. So get back over there. I am in the process however of building a website with all of this info in one place to make it easier for you to put everything together.

This blog is dedicated to a little girl. This story is one of the saddest things I have heard. If you read this, you will understand why I am reluctant to have young kids read my blog. I couldn't live with something like this on my conscious. My lessons are most likely too complicated to be understandable to them anyway, but I still want to caution them.

CAUTION: To anyone studying Wicca here, it can turn you into an outcast. It can make your friends hate you and make fun of you. It is not a joke. Please talk to your parents about this before reading, and by all means, have them sit down with you and read it for themselves. Then they can help you to understand it. Thank you for subbing. Just don't forget my warning!

Here's a line from this story. It gave me the shivers.

"At first, I didn't believe what I was seeing," Crossman said. "Then it hit me, and I got a knife and cut her down. Her lips were blue; I was freaking out."

big shivers.... but a good thing to post if people - especially kids - are interested or think they might be. This isn't something to take lightly and your doing a good job of expressing that.

Yes, that is a horrid story, and it happens more than most people realize. In my HS in my Jr. year, one of my classmates slit her wrists in the main bathroom, one of the teachers found her, it was all over the school in about 20 seconds...the girl lived, and came right back to classes as if nothing was wrong, and was shunned and treated even worse than before by many because of her attempt. In my senior year, there was a Satanist who challenged the head of the Christian Atheletes to a "pain contest" to "prove" who was stronger, God or Satan...they stuck their arms in vices at the shop on lunch hour and turned them till one said stop. The Satanist then went on to crush the bones in his forearms. The rest of us in this class thought this proved only what jerks two guys in a "macho" contest can become, and saw nothing of God or Satan in it at all. The point of both of these stories is that NONE of these kids had been taught about their chosen belief systems by anyone else, or had any counseling or mentor to ask questions of, and got to the point of suicide, or bone crushing by reading and misinterpreting things that they might have understood much clearer with a teacher...or mentor...or friend who was willing to share the TRUTH of these beliefs with them. This is definitely not a subject to take lightly, or without guidance of some sort.

Most kids have it tough in school, if they don't fit in, other kids makefun of them.  I always befriended the one's who were made fun of, not because of pity, but because I know they were true to themselves.  They weren't hiding anything, and they were not fake people.

Moniet, that made me shiver too. I can't imagine anyone doing something like that. Why prove anything to anybody? Just because I believe that I will die if I jump off the tallest mountain in America and try to flap my arms and fly, that doesn't mean I have to prove it, I hope. Just because I believe that I will get run over and die if I run out into the middle of the freeway, doesn't mean I have to prove that either, I hope. That's so ridiculous. If I had been that boys mother, even say I was a Satanist, after the trip to the hospital, I would wear his other end out for being stupid and acting like religion is a game. It's not a cult. It's a religion, a belief system.

I remember when I was in college and a student committed suicide after getting an A- on a test. He had been such a perfectionist he couldn't bear to live after such a disappointing performance. Another suicided rather messily during a final exam after looking the test over. Nor was it Wicca that caused Tempest's problems.

Yes, Wicca is a powerful way of life, one that demands study and dedication but that grants great rewards, too. Yes, it is good to caution the kids that want to play at magick that Wicca is more than spellcasting. Anything powerful demands great care in its learning and application. Being a guide to the curious should help them.

Mitch sent me here to take notes. He'll be happy about the web site with everything there cuz my notes suck.

Child studies wicca!!!

That is one more sad story. I think we have all either seen or been the target of childrens hate. It's odd that some kids show that trait so well. I don't believe many of them want to, so much as they are eager to be with the in crowd. Either way some kids get the brunt of it and can be hurt to the point of wanting to die. It ain't just Wicca. It's being too tall, a little less than beautifull, poor, black, red, yellow, green, or just different in all the many ways. Sorry this child could not cope. If anyone should read that article it should be school kids everywhere. Maybe then they would not have to write their "too late" apologies to another angel.

By the way. ZardOz answered your question.

I did cry. Even her picture looked sad. My lord!

These episodes leave me void.... of words and understanding. Poor baby. She was just a baby. Her mother is in my prayers.....

magealita... you are to be commended! I wish I had found someone like you when I was growing up. I was one of the kids that everyone else picked on or shunned until high school & had NO true friends. I did start studying the Arts, but surprisingly, my mom permitted it, buying me the Rider Tarot deck & book, along with other 'tools' of the Arts.
