  • ¡¡Feliz Año!!

Well we got off to a great start for the New Year here in Costa Rica. There were literally celebrations all over town. Fireworks going off in  every little neighborhood. It gets a little chaotic. Kids throwing firecrackers into peoples yards (and at cars!). Everyone was either at their homes with their families eating the traditional tamales left over from Christmas or they were out in the streets or at the local bars and restaurants. At the strike of midnight the Quepos oceanfront let off a huge fireworks show with several other shows going on simultaneously all over Manuel Antonio, and in a town as small as our you can hear them all happening.

It was a fun night hanging out with friends from the fellowship. Now the New Year has begun and so far its brought a ton of blessings. Everything seems to be moving forward and things are looking good.

Classes at Escuela D'amore start on Monday. We will be education the local Ticos with English courses to help them make some money working in the tourism industry.

The Ekklesia ministry is flourishing, with tons of vision and a huge spectrum of opportunities ahead its hard to know where to start. We are all set for our missions team to come in May or June. We are almost ready to start with our school in Manuel Antonio, the curriculum will be complete soon. Another project where we are reaching out to help support the local women who are financially challenged is underway - keep your eyes open for something called "the beanbag".

Church is going great. We have the greatest group of people who connect so well and are the most encouraging and supportive group of people ive had the opportunity to serve with in a long time.

What else? Oh yeah! I was kicked out of my house because my rent was more than tripled. But God provided an opportunity to live in another home only a few hundred meters from my old house and its even a little cheaper. So I'm almost completely settled in there.

No other news. Keep in touch!!!
