| | I feel sorry for some people. They really do try hard but they don't get anything out of it because they have bad luck or bad memory or they are in the wrong place at the wrong time or....
Maybe there's a benefit in not being ready for something. It's a crazy nervous high when you realize what has to be done...when you realize you aren't ready because you're stupid like that. Then you do things. Things you wouldn't normally do. You might achieve weird stuff. Or hard stuff. Or stuff you wouldn't go for if it didn't seem so miniscule.
And then when its showtime...ready, fire, aim. You're backed up against a wall. You have no way to get out and it's like forced encouragement.
No matter what, you can make it through anything. You just don't think you can because of that panic-high.
Then there's that time you make the little mistake that you would never notice was a mistake and you screw yourself over in the end. But you go with it. What are you going to do? There's no backing out. Now you're unprepared. Because of bad hearing. Or forgetfulness. Or a million other tiny things that may (and most likely will) occur.
Whatcha gonna do? |
