Snow, snow, go away.
I got most of my tax stuff caught up this weekend. I have a huge
stack of returns ready to be picked up (and paid for!). Which is
good, because $ seems to be flying out the door around here. I
sat down to pay the bills last night and realized we should buy a house
closer to Sam's Club in order to realize less gas expense and driving
time. Gee, whiz, we are there a lot. It's practically all
tax-deductible stuff like business expenses or prescriptions, and we do
save a lot of $ by using them, but, MAN. I think my kids believe
Sam's Club Chocolate Soft Serve Ice Cream From The Snack Bar (why not
capitalize all that?) is one of the major food groups.
It *is* good ice cream, though.
Today I've got to meet a client for lunch, give her her tax return, get
paid , so I get to eat out at a restaurant for lunch.
WACKY. So probably no lunch update from moi. I don't have
much on my mind, anyway, besides money.
Moneymoneymoneymoney.
Except this:
Our cats have been peeing on things lately. Annie even pooped
somewhere grossly inappropriate over the weekend. Hey, I could
sell them both to a lab, huh?
I'd never do that, I feel bad even joking about it. But there's
no discernible reason for the behavior and it's getting old. I
mean, the only time I want to lie down on the bed next to a turd is
when Steve's already asleep.
Ciao.
Oh, I want to add, so I don't forget...Steve and the boys brought me
breakfast in bed yesterday. I guess they were worried about my
Rip Van Winkle routine and food seemed like a good way to get me up and
moving.
It was a great breakfast. Chipotle eggs, Steve's own
recipe...fruit salad...yum. Then I got up and ate a piece of
peach pie from our weekend trip up to Huber's.
Speaking of which, I have some video of that, I'll post it one of these days.
We got a free pie, how can you beat that?
Anyway, the boys were so excited about bringing me breakfast in
bed. Their sweet little smiling faces were just in my mind, as I
was clamboring out of the shower and getting ready to shake off the
thermal aqua hog vibes, before sliding into wooly-mammoth-sweater-mama
mode. I never want to forget those tiny happy faces.
And Steve was pretty proud, too.
