Baby Maddie update & my sleepless night

Due to the nature of the emergency at hand with Maddie in ICU... accessibility to a computer is limited as we can all understand.  David will be sending emails out in between website updates just to keep us informed "in short"  until he is able to update the website.  Here's the email I just received from David this a.m. at 10:07 a.m.  eastern time (Seattle time 7:07 a.m.)

Still here.
More later.

There are no words for the way my heart feels, thinking of this little girl like this.

In cheerier news...

Last night I could sleep, so I stayed up exploring home exchange websites, and perusing remodeled vintage travel trailers.  I think I want a little aluminum trailer for my backyard, to serve as my home office.  My office here on the inside has been completely ravaged by my family, and I must get out, I think.

How I would GET the trailer into the backyard, even a small one, is something I haven't figured out yet.  I guess you can take chain-link fence down and put it back up, can't you?

And it would have to be a small trailer.

But I really love this idea.

Those of you who always thought of me as trailer trash, I guess you were onto something.

As far as the home exchange goes, if anyone is interested in doing that sometime, let me know.  I think it would be a lot of fun.  I'd rather do it with one of you guys than a total stranger, but even if I just end up swapping with an Australian who wants to go to the Derby (!!!!!woooooooot!!!!!!) that would be fine with me.

And so on...

My column continues to rock out withe proverbial sock out.  So does collage class.  And I am looking into a writing retreat to invest in some more time to get finished w/ striking this singular note on This Brilliant Darkness.  I am doing fine w/ focus and direction and what-not, but struggling w/ time commitments right now.  You know how that is.

Next week begins a new era.

A vintage trailer sounds like fun!!

RYC: I'm glad you enjoyed my dream!  And sure, linking would be completely fine.  You didn't storm out of the interview.  You were more like confused and hurt.  I think I was more mad than you were.  But my sister sure was enjoying the interview!    Just remember me when you're famous, k?

The idea of the trailer is sure interesting, I wish I could get my dh to go along with that.

Thank you so much for continued updates on baby Maddie. My heart and prayers are going out for her and the family.

Glad to read good news about your column, collage class and continued work on the book. We'll be looking forward to that.

I hope you can get the trailer you want and get it into your yard. That sounds like a great idea for an out of house office/get-away for you.

As you can see, I'm having to back track to blogs I've missed; but I'm trying to check as many as I can.

~~Blessings, prayers 'n cheers, Donna
