Unknown flavor

While I was hoping to get today off after working that extremely long shift, I was instead greeted by the unhappy prospect of dragging myself to work. Sheesh, my only complaint about my job is the fact that I never know how many vacation days I have...it's something that they hold from me, because they obviously want to keep me in the office.

The plans for this weekend are simple: buy myself a wireless router in preparation for the Monday release of Animal Crossing: Wild World. I've done enough research online, but I have the unlucky situation of not having a data port cable running into my room. Instead, we employ a HomeLink network through Linksys, which transforms our LAN phone lines into dual phone and data lines. Since the connection to the wireless router will not be a data port cable, I'm concerned about whether it'll work or not. However, I can accomodate by connecting the router to the an ethernet card installed in my desktop. Oh well, it's all very technical, but I'm hoping that it'll all work out in time for my purchase of Animal Crossing on Monday.
