| | I write this for you, Little Girl, long abandoned to the shadows. I reclaim you as my own, as surely as if I had birthed you from my womb.
Instead, I birthed you from behind my heart, Little Girl, from the place where powerful rhythm orders hours, days weeks into infinity.
I hold you dear, Little Girl, emotion choking upward through my throat, wishing you hadn't been discarded, hidden to save you from loathing.
I hug you near, dear Little Girl, warm silky arms wrapped round your trembling tear stained face, Cooing words to calm my sweetie.
I protected you, Little Girl, not knowing I was doing so as I stealthily hid you away from the chaos, anger and fear safe from the bad grown-ups and those who would hurt.
I hold you proudly, dear Little Girl, knowing you were strong enough to last even though you seemed to have vanished for a time.
I'll play with you, Little Girl, glad you're still by my side, showing yourself to me, trusting and kind, soft and warm little hands slipped into mine.
Blessings abound |
