For Conservative Right Wing Politicos he is emblamatic of gay sponges everywhere out to corrupt and change the orientation of so many young people. Sponge Bob lives in a pineapple right? Means he's a real fruit, yes?

SpongeBob's Pineapple is an Americana symbol of welcome. There is a network of SpongeBob safe houses throughout New England. Where once the Underground Railroad helped the slaves to freedom in the North, SpongeBob Undersea Havens are marked with the seemingly innocuous pineapple of welcome. Here are havens for the oppressed spongy masses, so bloated with ennui they do not know where to turn next.
SpongeBob is the Human Spirit dressed in dorky boxers, indomitably persevering despite the wash of everyday tragedy and calamity battering the spirit of everyman. Women want to be with him. Men want to be with him. And kids just want to eat pineapple.
Is it any wonder that Bob Dole built the house of SpongeBob? Bob Dole, the Republican who allowed his sense of humor and humanism show after he lost his bids for the White House is now insidiously preparing the mind of Sponge Bob viewers every where for the great Under the Sea Salad Uprising.
Sponge Bob is as benign as can be. He doesn't mind cleaning the dour mess that is today's culture. SpongeBob soaks it up and wipes it away with his willingness to look stupid. SpongeBob's grandeur is surpassed only by his pathos. Yea, were it not for SpongeBobSquarePants America's Young and Young at Heart would have no hope for the future.
