| | The annual tribute to gluttony and fine feasting known as Thanksgiving has come and gone. I spent the day after Thanksgiving sleeping for sixteen out of twenty four hours. Must have needed it. The day before Thanksgiving saw me taking Boy Wonder from his doctor's appointment to the emergency room at Fletcher Allen. Thankfully, his visual disturbances were not the result of detached lens or retina. Thankfully, it was an opthalmic migraine. A gift that will keep on giving, no doubt. See what I did there? Turned lemons into lemonade. Hestia is visiting again. She and Loraboralabradora have discovered the pond ice is thick enough to hold their combined weight. I'm keeping an eye out for both of them to ensure they do not plunge through the ice. And if they should, well, we can get to them quickly so they don't drown. Yes, this is an upbeat post? Why do you ask? The Chief and I are driving Beloved Firstborn to Brattleboro to catch his ride back to Ohio this afternoon. They're leaving at 0300, so us getting him there will be a help to his friend. It's only about four hours round trip, but honestly, I'm not sure I have the reserves to do it myself. It's nice to have The Chief willing to assist with the driving. It's sunny out. The grays of November are a little more silvery than when it's overcast. I've managed to clean up quite a bit of the household chores that have been on hold while I worked and then held my Sleep-a-thon. The back bedroom still is problematic in that all the clutter abiding there is still just that....abiding. Ah well, little by little, I'll get it done. Blesings abound |
