Beloved Firstborn is on his way to Ohio.  They left about 0300 (or at least that was the plan) so they should be near Antioch by the time of this posting.  We had a nice ride down Rte. 100S.  I'd travelled that road to the end at Killington, but had not been any further south.  We ended in Wilmington, where BF's ride was staying with his grandmother.  Had dinner at an okay antique filled, fire sprinkler lacking, over-priced restaurant that caters to the ski trade.  It was good to sit and chat with my son and my husband.

The ride home was sweet.  Sweet because I had my husband all to myself.  I put a Bob Dylan CD into the stereo, to his delight.  We sang along until we'd sung out the entire CD.  Then it was onto Neil Young.  We returned via 100 to 30 to 7.  That shaved about one half hour off the three hour drive.  Came home, did chores and fell into bed.

It's a balmy forty five degrees out today.  The sun is shining, the branches bare.  The Chief is raking the last of this year's parachuters from the trees.  I've done some house stuff.  Not everything that needs to be done, but enough to make me feel I've put up a respectable fight.

I'm off for a swim at the gym.  Than it's home again and time spent at home and hearth.

Blessings abound
