| Your Bumper Sticker Should Be | Even if the voices aren't real - they've got some great ideas |
Some times I think my dogs fake vomiting just to see how fast I'll jump up in alarm and guide them to the linoleum, away from the rugs. Ok, so that was a bit random. I've knit so much today on the chuzzle cosy that my wrist and right thumb are sore.I've still got about two thirds of the thing to go, but for being worked on size 6 needles, it seems to be working up quickly. Of course, I've not spent so much time concentrated on knitting in a while, that's probably why it seems as if things are going well. It's eighteen below zero now. The sky is a deep, black blue or would it be blue black? The shadows of the sentinel pines loom against the sky. The stars glisten, drops of water on the skin of the sky. Meanwhile, the cold soaks through the floorboards of this old deer camp turned four season home. Someday we'll get proper cellar underneath this house. For now, the earth allows the dampness to penetrate it's icy fingers through the thin barrier of wood and carpet. I sincerely doubt there's much, if any, insulation beneath the house. I've been getting "hits" from some interesting places of late. I rather wish people would comment, if only to know a little something about them. No matter. Their names on the footprints allow me a chance to visit their blogs and peek into the worlds they choose to represent on this medium. Sometimes I comment, sometimes not. I showered this evening. Shampooed the hairspray out from my newly dyed locks. At one point of the night, Erik had the woodstove cranked so high, I was sweating and had to shed my flannel night gown. Unfortunately, the sweat and heat made the smell of the hair chemicals practically gag worthy. No such interruption will occur tonight. However, my hair is very soft sans hairspray and I am loving the color. My neighbor promises to come down with the camera sometime this weekend. I hope the tea cozy will be done in time for a snapshot, also. I've really got to do the digital camera thing one of these days. If for no other reason than to show what I'm working with or show off the pets. Still no word on whether I can bring my sister as my substitute date to the wedding in February. I should be sending my RSVP out tomorrow and definitely no later than Monday. However, if I don't hear from Devout or the Emperor, I'm thinking the RSVP will be a no go. I'm really not feeling like driving to Pennsylvania by myself, even though I'm fairly capable. I'm feeling better each day. I don't wish to give myself a set back by doing the driving all by myself. And I'm not going to ask my sister to help with the driving and then not take her to the wedding. So, again, patience is the order of the day. Time to put another log on the fire and knit my way to carpal tunnel. Blessings abound |
