Better Week

This week is going much better than last.  No one has broken in for 5 days now!!! Funny though, how we keep finding things missing, and than we remember,"oh yeah, the break ins"

VBS is going well, lots of teenagers and adult volunteers from the Corps, makes it really nice. Day camp is coming to an end, will really miss the kids, as they are not our regular group that come for the after-school program. Tomorrow is our decision time for the kids for VBS, day camp stuff and chapel in the afternoon, as well as talent show practice. Looks like almost all the kids and their parents will be at the Corps on Sunday for the  Evening meeting(some of the kids go to Mass), graduation and talent show. They are singing songs from VBS, some of the boys are doing a skit from day camp, the girls are reciting the sunbeam pledge, doing a number and dance from High School Musical, plus reading scripture, the offering, and praying... should be a nice meeting, plus a lot of fun. I like this part of ministry, seeing the kids grow, learning about the love of God, praying with them as they raise their little 6-year old hand and ask for prayer for their father who is in jail, or their mother who has a headache, or their dog who has just died. This is a privilege.
