Sitting around doing nothing is a lot more difficult than it sounds.  This is my fifth day of keeping my life low key so that I can recover.  It feels like it has been two weeks already.  I can say that I am doing a lot of reading and napping and watching of movies.  This week's movies are Pride and Prejudice (new version) and Dan In Real Life.  I've seen them twice already.  When a movie is really great I love to watch it in the evening and then wake up for a reprise.  Good soundtracks will make me fall in love with a movie.

My current music to buy list:

Sondre Lerche and the Faces Down Quartet, Duper Sessions
    Glen Hansard, The Swell Season
    Van Morrison, Keep It Simple
The Black Keys, Attack and Release

*sigh* I love Mr. Darcy.  Did you see Death at a Funeral?  He was in that too.  Add it to your list if you haven't seen it.

Maybe we should start an infirmary. It's been way too long since I've seen you, and I've pretty much been ordered on bed rest too.  Will find out Wednesday if I've got the dreaded M word too. ;)

This might be a good time to find some extended versions of movies and appreciate them...

Or not, if you're not into that sort of thing.

I wasn't sure about what I thought about Dan in Real Life, but it definitely made me laugh (especially the younger daughter w.the crazy desperate boyfriend).

If you like old movies, Ben Hur and Lawrence of Arabia are quite good.  Also, most things noir.

If you like comedies, may I suggest who's harry crumb (a really silly 80's movie w/john candy), and mel brooks (blazing saddles, the producers)

If you like musicals, i rather like west side story and the music man.

If you're into romances...  have you ever seen breakfast at tiffanies?  Or "sabrina?"  both are pretty good (and the new version of sabrina w/harrison ford is pretty good, too)

If you like action...  anything bruce willis will entertain.

Anyways, hope you r&r goes well.  Also, reading is good.  Have you ever read the count of monte cristo>?

How are you feeling?  Did you have to return to work full time this week?  Hope you are able to recover all of your strength and health soon.  I can't believe how I take my health for granted and it's only when I'm sick that I realize how important it is.  Blessings!
