Jesus' love never fails me...
hello people! it's a Sunday evening, and it has been a great and beautiful day! seeing things from a godly perspective changes the way you view and comprehend the things and events which surround you and your life. and i woke up this morning feeling slightly groggy. but once sitting down to read some bible verses and praying a little, suddenly everything changed.
just felt so good, and it really speaks of God's goodness to all of us. if only we learn to appreciate it and open our hearts to see all He has done for us, and allow Him to work in us.
went to Hillsong London church today with a friend called Margaret. well overall the service was okay. sometimes it is hard to focus and really get down to the heart of worship because the worship band is so musically talented that many ppl might sing becoz the music sounds great, it is important to remembe the heart of worship, and that worship is for God's pleasure, not for ours...the message was about Jesus' famous sentence "You Hypocrite, why do you attempt to remove the speck of dust in another person's eye when you have a plank in your own eye?" and well it did speak to me. the problem in the world, the speaker joked, is that people have either not met a christian before, or they have. and it is true, people tend to stay remove from opinionated people. i have had numerous encounters with such people.
but it is amazing, people are giving their lives to the Lord in big numbers each week at Hillsong London. oh well, i have yet to decide where i should settle, but someone from Hillsong will contact me this week to see if i will be interested in joining a Life Group (something like a DG fellowship back at SSMC). still not sure about it.
the whole day when i was alone, i just sang worship songs which suddenly came to mind. but i like the lyrics of a song by United Live called More Than Life, and it truly speaks of what i wanna do for the Lord, and that i will remain committed to Him and Him alone. lyrics are as follows : Stand by everything You said

beautiful song. i wanna breathe Jesus in everything i do, but sometimes i feel people try to share their faith with others the wrong way that often tends to give people the wrong impression about God's love. instead, people get turned off by their vigorous approach. not being judgemental, but i think there are better ways of evangelising...and what the speaker said was true, people will know that Christ lives in us not by the acts of love we do or the works we do at church, but it is by the relationships we form with others. it's just so vital.
after church service, went to China town, she brought me to this Malaysian shop, forgot the name, but the portion was big (seems to be the normal size in London), and i couldn't finish my Nasi Lemak! (it was really big trust me, u know that if Francis can't finish his lunch then it has to be big, no kidding!) then just went to walk around London area, passed a carnival going on, reminded me of my younger days when i used to go with my parents to Royal London Circus shows and the fun fairs...did go to Starbucks just to get a drink. then went home.
oh yeah, Parachute Band (a musically talented Christian band from New Zealand) will be coming over to Hillsong London to perform on Saturday evening on the 25th of September! But it is at 6pm, and i remember that my brother will be arriving on that day, so i'll be missing it!!! arghhhhhh!!!!
and here i am...what am i going to do now? apart from having dinner, i think i will spend time reading some stuff on tax...just to prepare for my classes this week. take care everyone. God bless!
ps. i know i promised many of you that i will write to you via e-mail, but have not done so, but i will do so when i am free! actually the time i use to write here, not to say i am free, but i make it a point to write here since this is my so called main 'journal'.
