IT toys...Man Utd players...

i went yesterday to use part of my first month's salary to purchase some networking equipment for my house. my main aim was to be able to connect my house computers to the printers without wires.

for all you guys out there who want to buy a Wireless Access Point for your home, now is the time! i personally was surprised when i discovered that SMC's Wireless Routers was only going for RM170? this was in MidValley. it's really value for money! and i just set it up last night, very very easy to use.

also got my external hard disk casing. i decided to pay a little extra for convenience sake. previously, i used to opt for cheaper external casings, but at the expense of extra cables, and an extra power adapter. this time, by paying a little extra, i not only do not require any power adapter, but the hard disk casing comes with special backup features. i have yet to test it. hopefully i can do so tonight.

the next frustrating part, is an age-old problem with Microsoft Windows products - the networking features. i now have to deal with this frustrating problem. i probably will need to consult the forums on this one again. i can't seem to get the 2 computers to talk to each other. i can't see them in My Network Places although they have the same Workgroup name. i also can't seem to add the printers. hm.........more headaches for me tonight when i'm supposed to be doing other things!

it's a relief to know that Rooney and Ronaldo have resolved their differences, or brushed the enmity talk aside, there might have been no differences in the first place. remember, they are friends and members of the same Man Utd team. probably what fuels all this nonsensical talk about their rivalry is that they are both young and competing for fame.

i'm quite excited about the street soccer tournament this weekend. although i won't be playing, but at least there might be an exhibition match to play in!

i just hope that the turnout will be great, and that things will run smoothly, and that the weather will be fine. i really pray that God will hold back the rain again!

okay, gotta get back to work now...
