Actions are more powerful than words.
I learned that in my Speech Com class. Actions are more credible than words. There is what you call body language. Most of the time, the suppressed truth comes out because of actions not matching with words.
Actions may not only refer to gestures of the hands. They may also be the action of the eyes (making eye contact), use of time (late? slacking off? why kaya?), the manipulation of the voice by the diaphragm, larynx, tongue, teeth, and mouth, changing of distance (walking around, stepping in front). All of these reinforce words that may not be powerful enough by themselves.
