wow... no one has been home in like 3 or 4 days so it's just been me. i've already cooked twice for myself which is AMAZING!!!! i kept thinking that people would come home, so i made 4 things of pork chops the other night. i had pork chops topped with cooked golden apples, a side of garlic spinach, and good old fashion rice. i even had room for ice cream and cookies! oh my gosh! i never knew how great of a cook i was.

i tried to save some of the food, but ate every last bit of it as left overs. today i wanted to cook again since i have left over groceries, but came home with a HUUUUUUGGGGGEEEEEE headache which started around 2 or 3 this afternoon. i couldn't even move my head and ended up taking like 2 advil before crashing on the couch. in the middle of my sleep, i hear a bunch of racket on the stairs and then finally knocking at the door. i looked out the peep hole and recognized everyone standing out there. it turns out it was chi-wei's going away thing. sad, because i didn't even know about it and i LIVE here. everyone had written these nice letters for him and i kinda just sat there....with a headache. so chi-wei, just wanted to let you know you will be missed. you truely are one in a million.

Everyone was singing, dancing, and doing the 'hand jive,' all because of 'those summer nights.' We all had tons of fun tonight. It's amazing to see how people of all different races, genders, and nationalities bond over a movie like "Grease." It was fun and hysterical all at the same time. I really should hang out with my co-workers more often.

I had a co-worker come up to me today with a request... a prayer request. She and I don't talk much at all, so I was very surprised to have her approach me. It was early in the morning, and she kind of snuck up behind me and very quietly whispered, "Hey Christina... can I ask you a favor?" She explained her situation at home and at work and basically said Friday would be the day she decided whether or not she was going to stay at the company. She asked if I would say a prayer for her and her family these next two days because she knew I was a Christian and she wasn't sure where else she could turn but to God. After talking with her, I realized how much of a selfish person I was. Here I am, always complaining about stupid little things like work load and friends and what not, but there are so many more people in the world who really are in difficult situations. I could hit myself for being so blind to others around me. It was also strange, in a way, to have a co-worker approach me for a prayer request. I am so used to it at church, but found it... weird... to hear it from someone at work. I liked it though. I wish we could have official prayer time at work - that way others wouldn't think I was napping or something.

(i'll be praying for you mrs. h.- i know everything will work out for the best.)
