HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I just had leftover turkey (pictured here).  I think I like cold turkey leftovers than anything in the world.  Oh and a jar of mayo.
Normally, I have a Thanksgiving one-day sale on the e-store, but we can't this year because we do not have product to sell you.  We're super low on inventories and our big retailers are ordering up for the holiday season, so we are super low in warehouse levels.  We're working hard to stock up, but our demand keeps ramping up with each new day.
I am thankful for you.  I am one of the happiest, luckiest people I know.  I am so thankful for every smile I received in my direction this year.  Sometimes when I go to sleep, I picture faces in my mind, and for some reason all I picture is smiling faces.
I am surrounded by love, and I spend every day with my favorite person in the world, and she thinks the world of me.  Business is incredible, and my heart is at peace and my life feels balanced.  I am completely relaxed knowing that my full-time staffers (Keats, Tracy, Paul, Brian and Corine) are completely dedicated, awesome, capable and talented.
If there is one invaluable lesson that I have learned in life so far, the most important thing is to be thankful for every person that crosses your path.  I don't know where I learned that lesson, but whenever I meet anybody new, I just feel lucky.  Everybody is so interesting to me, and I love listening to the stories.  Maybe that's why I put so much on this blog.  I find people super interesting, and the more people share about themselves, the more I find we are all the same in so many ways.
If I've met you in person, you probably thought, "wow he instantly liked me".  Yup you're right.  I think I like everybody pretty much a lot.  I love this world, and pretty much everybody in it, and sometimes I get hurt or disappointed, but still overall, I love everything.  I even love the setbacks, because I think - ok, opportunity for learning!

The blog has been the most interesting addition to my life.  Today we met with the flooring guy - and he said, "nice job on the thriller dance".  And we met up with my site foreman at the ranch and he said, "nice job putting the dresser together."  And I got a really nice email from a local woman who reads my blog, and I went to her husband today and found a new dentist.
So many people view this blog it's mind-boggling.

I never stopped to think about why I'm doing this blog, or the reason I find publishing my life like a TV show so interesting.  Part of me knows that it is fantastic marketing, because obviously being on your mind is what advertisers spend millions trying to achieve.  The fast reason would be that I enjoy making you laugh, or sharing some new discovery or lesson I've learned.  Oh and getting the emails, like thanking me for telling you about the Fujitsu Scansnap printer, etc.
Happy Thanksgiving my friend.  It's fun having this little corner of the world for all of us to meet.

I'm thankful for so many things since I've embarked out on my business venture about five years ago. I'm truly thankful for you Gary. Implementing your products and your knowledge into my workflow has been an instrumental part of my business and its growth. Thank you for your inspiration, making us laugh, your wisdom and your encouragement. I thank God that I found you while doing a simple google search about three years ago. Thank you Gary! Happy Thanksgiving!

i agree with kris. i really appreciate your help. it's so wierd that i've learned what i've learned partially through reading this blog.

a few years ago i thought even the WORD "blog" was completely lame and stupid. after reading yours, dj's, and others that either you yourselves mention or are associated with you through comments, etc...i can truthfully and completely say i NEVER would have been where i am now. especially this quickly.

the things you say and the advice you give here on this blog carry a TON of weight with my wife and i, and i'm very thankful for you, and for your heart to share.

it's been totally awesome, and i plan not to stick around for a long time.

graceandpeace.
happy thanksgiving!

Gary - I echo all the thanks comments. Discovering you has changed my life, and my son's life. I've been encouraged to start putting one blog and one picture up on my my blog, as a way to push me to the next level. My son is going to take the year after his graduation and try to make a go of it in photography. I had a discussion with him about making sure he had a passion for where he was going after graduation and mentioned your 180 turnaround. Karma.

My favorite quote on thanksgiving has been playing all week in the Mutts comics (King Features). It's from Meister Eckhart, a 13th century mystic who suffered for his beliefs. He said: "If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, "thank you," that would suffice. " ~Meister Eckhart

Thank you Gary, and all your Blogging community. I have gained so much from each of you.

Gee wiz Gar..You sound like you had too much Turkey and white wine!  You said  "I think I like everybody pretty much a lot."  Well, we pretty much like you too, you big ham.

Since you are in such a great mood and feeling so good about the world and all it has blessed you with, how about forgiving those that you've bumped off your blog like that borelfoto guy I was reading about a month or so ago. We haven't seen him anyhwhere on your blog for a while, and he was funny. I'm sure there has been some others too along the way. Lets get everyone back on board with your blog, it makes the world more interesting.

Happy Turkey day to you and Melissa.

Gary and Melissa,  Happy Thanksgiving to both of you.    Right back at ya ... we enjoy your BLOG and all the knowledge and laughter you bring to us on a regular basis.  You've really changed our lives and the way we look at things.  It's funny I can be reading your BLOG and I start laughing out loud and my husband will be in the other room and will have to come in and see what's so funny.  Will you be at the WPPI convention again this coming year?  I met you at the last one for the first time and you's were VERY nice and gave me one of those FONG chips.  We look forward to seeing you again sometime.  I really do feel like we are all friends.  Take care and bless you,  Cathy Ann and Scott

Missy:

What was the one thing that made you fall for Gary? You know, when did you think you were falling in love or was it his sense of humor, his sick, sick sense of humor. Or was it his "Hi Karate Cologne"? Readers want to know....

I will say it all during our vows. get the dvd! LOL There are so many things I love about him. When I actually fell in love.... not sure the date, although he knows the date that he fell in love. Mine was more like over time. I was trying to avoid the relationship because of the age difference. Not something I was used to in my small town of Canton. but then I got over that and allowed it to happen. It's easy to fall in love with him! so many things to love about him!
