| | HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
I just had leftover turkey (pictured here). I think I like cold turkey leftovers than anything in the world. Oh and a jar of mayo. Normally, I have a Thanksgiving one-day sale on the e-store, but we can't this year because we do not have product to sell you. We're super low on inventories and our big retailers are ordering up for the holiday season, so we are super low in warehouse levels. We're working hard to stock up, but our demand keeps ramping up with each new day. I am thankful for you. I am one of the happiest, luckiest people I know. I am so thankful for every smile I received in my direction this year. Sometimes when I go to sleep, I picture faces in my mind, and for some reason all I picture is smiling faces. I am surrounded by love, and I spend every day with my favorite person in the world, and she thinks the world of me. Business is incredible, and my heart is at peace and my life feels balanced. I am completely relaxed knowing that my full-time staffers (Keats, Tracy, Paul, Brian and Corine) are completely dedicated, awesome, capable and talented. If there is one invaluable lesson that I have learned in life so far, the most important thing is to be thankful for every person that crosses your path. I don't know where I learned that lesson, but whenever I meet anybody new, I just feel lucky. Everybody is so interesting to me, and I love listening to the stories. Maybe that's why I put so much on this blog. I find people super interesting, and the more people share about themselves, the more I find we are all the same in so many ways. If I've met you in person, you probably thought, "wow he instantly liked me". Yup you're right. I think I like everybody pretty much a lot. I love this world, and pretty much everybody in it, and sometimes I get hurt or disappointed, but still overall, I love everything. I even love the setbacks, because I think - ok, opportunity for learning!
The blog has been the most interesting addition to my life. Today we met with the flooring guy - and he said, "nice job on the thriller dance". And we met up with my site foreman at the ranch and he said, "nice job putting the dresser together." And I got a really nice email from a local woman who reads my blog, and I went to her husband today and found a new dentist. So many people view this blog it's mind-boggling.
I never stopped to think about why I'm doing this blog, or the reason I find publishing my life like a TV show so interesting. Part of me knows that it is fantastic marketing, because obviously being on your mind is what advertisers spend millions trying to achieve. The fast reason would be that I enjoy making you laugh, or sharing some new discovery or lesson I've learned. Oh and getting the emails, like thanking me for telling you about the Fujitsu Scansnap printer, etc. Happy Thanksgiving my friend. It's fun having this little corner of the world for all of us to meet. |
