 Our pool foreman, Dave is pictured here putting together the submerged concrete barstools for the swim-up bar. I have learned a lot about concrete and forming watching these guys from Valley Pools do such an artistic job. Everything behind concrete of course needs re-bar, so when they made the bar stools they had vertical re-bar flaring out at the top. Then they buy these cardboard tubes and cut them to little disks, using of all things duct-tape to hold it all together until the concrete gets poured in. It's like making a jello serving. Once it dries, they remove the cardboard and you have the concrete form!
