what's in hamburg, germany?

i'm picturing lederhosen and white sausage.

actually i have no clue, but i'm about to find out friday.  my company needs a warm body to sit in on a 5-hour due diligence meeting on synthetic commerical mortgage securitization (snore), so i drew the lucky straw.  at least i get to fly business class over there and haughtily demand chopped fruit at inordinately late hours, while watching princess diaries 2 or whatever other inane movie is playing.

it should be a bit more interactive than the other times i've spent in the former Third Reich.  those expeditions encapsulated:

- walking around munich at 6am on a weekday morning and making an unfortunate purchase of a tight gray shirt that i wore a total of 3 times.  there's nothing less sexy that uber-modern german work clothing.

- swimming in a mineral water spa in stuttgart, accompanied by largish semi-naked slavic women in pools of increasing minerality that burn my rotund unmentionables.  mmm... hot.

hopefully, this trip will be just as amusing.

on the bright side, i get to visit our prada-wearing friend in the UK.  i will report back on the absurdity of his faux-british accent upon my return.

A few random thoughts:

1. Be warned: If you decide put your hand anywhere on my body while I am climbing, I will not hesitate to let go and fall on top of you, or injure you otherwise.

2. If they need a warm body, why are they sending you?  Don't they know you're cold blooded? =P

3. Munich at 6 in the morning was tons of fun!  You also bought a really cool black jacket that you subsequently lost, and we ate white sausages and drank good beer!  (Although I think the best parts were when you did an impression of a gargoyle - which I have on film - and when you made me run through that cobblestone street pretending to be Lola)......

4.  Give our British monkey a hug for me.  And a kiss, if you feel compelled.

Have fun, babe!!!!!
