wow it's been a long time since i wrote anything on this site... probably a good thing, as i have actually been spending my time productively on other pursuits - i mean, there's really only so much angst to pour and trivialities to blather on about.

thing i have been doing:
- golf.  so the 'rents are nutso about the game, and they dragged me into it.  like every other sport i play, my form is horrible and i'm streakier than Iverson, but somehow, i manage to do alright.  Times I've beaned someone with a golf ball this year: -1 (got hit once). 

- rock-climbing.  there's huge rock-climbing wall at my gym, and i finally started taking classes and doing it.  unfortunately, my forearms are apparently composed of limp egg-noodle.  i manage to fall off the wall with astonishing regularity.  did i mention my form is terrible?  but nothing beats the pride i feel as i survey the puny inhabitants of mortal soil from a perch near the gym ceiling.  mua-ha-ha!!

- recovering from post-amsterdam haze.  yep, it was a fun trip.  that is all i will say, as i have since discovered that people at work apparently know about this website.

things i will be doing (instead of writing on this site):
- paintball.  last year, i discovered that when i comes to paintball, i am unstoppable.  at being the first person killed in every game!!  10 hrs rolling around in the mud - zero kills.  this year, i vow that things will be different.  i'm gonna wear a bush on my head and blend seemlessly into the foliage.  i haven't spent months watching 24 for nothing!

- gambling.  ok, so i hate gambling.  probably because i'm decent at math and am cheap.  however, i am going to vegas in may.  my game of choice: blackjack.  did you know that a skilled blackjack player has a 99.5% chance of winning on any given hand?  that's according to the mensa guide to casino gambling.  does that mean that i might actually win $$ in vegas?  not a chance... two words: crazy horse.
