QUESTION OF THE DAY: DOES YOUR DAY TODAY COUNT FOR THE LORD?

JOHN PIPER, A PREACHER THAT HS STRONGLY PREACHED THE WORD AND WRITTEN FOR THE LORD,

HAS CANCER.

I wonder if I die today, if my life would count today...

I had a very unproductive day with my friend Jeffery. I'm kind of upset...

But I should not complain..

I told both my regional manager and my boss that God comes first in my life...does that count?

That is very sad to hear. God used John Piper in my life to teach me so much. God's timing is amazing. I needed to read this. Yesterday we found out that my Aunt has cancer and John's words put things in perspective for me. Thanks for writing as I, once again, benefited from your words.

Did my day count for the Lord today? Yes ~ a friend came over, we visited, then we read and shared scripture ~ I laid hands on her and prayed for her....the Word of God declares....'You shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.' It's not by might nor by power, but by MY Spirit saith the Lord of Hosts.

Better one day in Your courts, than thousands elsewhere. I have wasted much time, so I too pray that what I do counts for God, but I also know God knows our hearts.

hmm, i would have added to the really heated debate over evolution and cloning in my bio 2 class, but really the religious side had absolutely no say, so I didn't even try. The teacher was obviously seriously atheist and against the idea of "intelligent design" and so were the really loud students who shot back arguments before any religious statement was finished; i just figured that if they wouldn't have a fair argument and woudln't take the time to listen, I would either, so I just slept. But next time maybe I should still try. John Piper is an amazing preacher! If you died today, your life would count. My friend once told me, "If I died today, as long as I helped bring one person to Christ, or planted a seed that led to a salvation, I would die happy." And with this xanga, your website, and everything you did, you most likely did that AND encourage all xanga christians too =D

I was unproductive today as well. Got into an accident and set the "control" switch to start cursing after I left and headed home with my friends one non-Christian and the other a shaky Christian. No matter how much I want to get rid of cursing completely, it's hard when you started middle school in the worst public school ever and having those habits follow you to 7th grade Christian school and up.Since you brought this up that is a good question. Would my day count for the Lord? In my opinion I wouldn't think so, if it did I could've done a LOT better.

By asking this question you've also reminded me to question each day... "Have I really made this day count for the Lord?"

It goes to show God's grace and mercy even though we screw up or we're unsuccessful.

too often i let my days go by without taking the time to share God with others. i just pray for God to open my eyes the many opertunities to share his love.
