It was so cold and wet due to the rain and the location of where we were at!

The New Marine Packs (or the way I packed it) was so top heavy instead of it being heavy on the bottom; further, there was no sleepbag comparment like the old ones...

So many new gear, and I wonder if we are going somewhere soon...

And I learn more about my Sgt's near death experience with a vehicle accident where he nearly drown and heard his account of IRaq...

Can you believe it, its' been three years ago since the Invasion? I'm no longer 18 neither...

We have a new marine in my section and he is an ACTOR! How strange, is it not?

The highlight of this weekend training was the fact that I got to share about Christ to my new Section; God IS SOVERIGN IN MOVING ME FOR A REASON though I do miss being a radio operator and the radio Marines still jokes about me being a traitor...

I gotta go back to my Apartment from Home now for itis getting late

Dell is playing the run around over the phone and I still need my laptop fixed!

Tried to 'find' Nancy today . . . but, I didn't! (You know, I actually forgot her name. I thought, "Is it Sally?" Then after a second....'Nancy' came back. Oh ya....that's it.) I hope Dell comes around for you!! Have a good week at UCLA. Blessings ~Carolyn

Yeah it is a bit wet up here... I'm not sure about farther north though. The Bay Area had a share of rain... some days more sunny than it's ever been in the past month, but it was wet enough for it to stay muddy. I did my fair share of bleeding this weekend during airsoft. I caught a bb on the finger...wound up with a blood blister under the skin. Also today me and a friend visited another airsoft spot like 10 minutes away from my house. Our group of about 8 is planning to go against them. Not sure exactly how big or how good so, until we play them we won't know.

He reminds you of me does he? Speaking of reminders, I had a Chinese classmate from Modern Asian history say he joined, but in basic injured his hand so he has metal in his hand now. His brother joined and is serving; both because of 9/11. That's cool... meeting new folks. Btw... I know how you feel about that laptop. I'm having problems with mine and no one has fixed it, much less has my parents gotten me a program to fix it. Right now it's just hard to stay focused. Well good luck with it all, I haven't heard any recent news about the situation in Iraq, but I hope it's getting better. I've heard from my teacher that their putting more troops into Asia as well (South Korea, Japan, and Philippines). I've been reading news on the Philippines and it's looking worse each month. It's crazy, what's happening over there, on top of the problems they've had for the past 50 years already.

Jimmy, you can't go to Afghanistan :( . Noone get's to go...lol. I'm the new commanding officer and I say everyone in your "group" (platoon, etc.) has to stay home and play on Xanga...lol. When I read your post-before-last I had a strange feeling that they were setting you all up to go somewhere. You most likely will have no warning hu? At least that's how my cousin was shipped off years ago. He went in one morning, didn't come home. His wife started calling family to see if he was at their house, etc. Then on the 11 pm news, the world was told that we invaded (this was in 1990?? and my mind is drawing a blank right now). The military handles it alot differently now...but...

So...if you can? Let us know when you're going ok? God Bless your day Jimmy, your life, your career, and this new endeavor should it happen.

ahhh it was so hard jimmy!!! *breathes* yeah it was pretty intense. it was better than the SAT but it was still pretty difficult. i had to guess on lots of the math. but i think...that i did ok. :-/
we'll see i guess!

Howdy! Ya know, I never thought about that before and now that I DO think about it, I didn't pull any April Fool's on anybody! LOL! Thanks for pointing that out to me, I never would've thought of that otherwise. LOL. That's too bad, I guess I'm not much of a prankster. (sp?)

I'm glad that you got back safetly. I would see you on friday cause I don't have any classes on friday this quarter but I am there every other day of the week so if you have anytime tomorrow through thursday give we a call and we can meet up somewhere on campus to catch up.

how is everything going with you friend? how's Nancy doing? What are you taking this quarter?
