QUESTION OF THE NIGHT: DO PEOPLE REALLY GET AWAY WITH EVIL?

PRAY FOR OUR EVANGELISM ON WEDNESDAY (TOMMOROW!) LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING!

PRAY THAT PEOPLE"S HEART WOULD BE MOVED AND PERHAPS PEOPLE TO BE SAVED!

starln_e0.gif

Tommorow's Memory verse for our Campus Bible Study I think is appropriate with the mood I am IN:

3 Trust in the LORD and do good;
       dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

 4 Delight yourself in the LORD
       and he will give you the desires of your heart.

 5 Commit your way to the LORD;
       trust in him and he will do this:

 6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
       the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

 7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;
       do not fret when men succeed in their ways,
       when they carry out their wicked schemes.

PSALM 37:3-7

Verse Seven in Particular makes me realize that even if those who do evil seems to be winning, YET GOD IS SOVERIGN and I OUGHT to still do what is right and be a light

I hope that my laptop, my Financial AID with my Veteran's Benefit all get fixed tommorow!

If you are so inclined to pray for me about it!

i will pray for the evangelism and the laptop as well as your fiancial aid with your veteran's benefits. Will you pray for the immense work I have before me? My teacher is REALLY mad at us about something (we don't really know waht) and is throwing work upon work on us. She gave us 4 two-page essays on Hamlet (we JUST started reading it) today due on thursday. And afterwards she has much more work planned for us during AP week. Pray for her and for us please, thanks

I am so inclined.  Praying for you.

Hmmm, its kind of hard to say when exactly i got saved.  I went throught the whole roller coaster ride of battling with living for this world and living for God.  If i have to put a time frame i'd say about three years.  Before then the Lord was knocking and i'd let Him through a little then chuck him out again.  (i know how terrible).  I am thankful for His patience.

I will pray for you. I do not think that anyone gets away with doing evil. Because if they are not caught here on Earth then they still need to face God in the end.

Zebulon is a form of Zebulun( zeb-u-loon ( I think that is how you pronounce it) which mean "habitation" in Hebrew. Gideon means I think "to cut down" in Hebrew. They are both names from the bible.

I will post more pictures of the kittens when they have been downloaded on the computer from a digi cam. I do not think they are posted on any other sites besides this one.

Do people really get away with evil?

"Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap." (Gal. 6:7)

The only question is WHEN they will reap it, so for a time they might get away with it but their sin will find them out...

Hi Jimmy! How are ya these days?

In no way do people get away with evil. God is just and he carries out punishment. His timing may be different then ours. But all is dealt with in due time.

I hope your Financial AID gets worked out. I'm trying to get some grants myself, it's hard work. The college I'll be going to this fall runs about 18k to 22k a year.  Lot's of money, and I don't have it unless I get a loan or grants. I don't get fed aid, they say our income is too high...but I differ.

God Bless, Alesha

I do agree.  Whether or not we were right, we have to finish the job regardless.  In addition to your reasons, we'd also sacrafice those already given their lives for nothing if we abandon Iraq now.  How's that for your tax payer's money...all for naught.

Sometimes it seems like they do in THIS life... (OJ etc) but in the end, everyone stands before God on judgement day.

I do not believe 'anyone' get's away with evil of any kind. Someone mentioned Galations 6:7, and another one that come's to my mind when I read your post was:

 Isaiah 54:17 --- No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Thank you Lord that it's your paybacks and not mine ;)

Hey Jimmy,
I have a prayer request that I was kinda hoping you would pray about. Well, I'll tell you the whole story. Ok, so I've been applying for internships for this summer since this past Thanksgiving (2005) and so far, I've only recieved rejections or no responses whatsoever. So No I'm looking for just a job, but I'd like it to be somewhat related to my field of study (archaeology, museum collections work, etc.). However, apparently there are no museums in the entire United Stated with open collections management positions! Basically, I'm stressing out majorly, and I don't just want to work for my dad again this summer. So I finally have a possible job out in Burbank (by you again!), but they have to checkout my driving record, and let's just say it's not exactly perfect...Anyway, could you just pray that God puts me where I need to be this summer? I know where I'd LIKE to be, but if that's not it, then to help me get over it and stop stressing about it all. Thanks a bunch. (And if I AM out in CA for the summer, I'll let you know and we'll do lunch or something!)

Thank you so much for your THOUROUGH comment on my site! I’m so glad that you did because I can see you have some brilliant things to say and I would like to read more of your poets!

I read all your posts regarding morals being important in debates and they were sooo wonderful! I agree with you 100% on that one! You use great evidence and that is definitely something that can scare some of these anti-war people away, unless that is, they make up their stories.

One thing that I get so confused about too is when people bring their decent into the debate! I suppose they believe that being a “victim” brings validity to their argument?

This guy Sean, thinking that he knows everything because he is Middle Eastern, is also a pretty absurd argument considering that all American’s don’t know EVERYTHING about the War in Iraq, so most Middle Easterners wouldn’t know EVERYTHING about the War either. But then again I could be assuming something that isn’t true….

Wow! Reading that one debate on team truth where that one guy called you all those nasty names just showed how untactful some people could be! This statement is exactly what I was thinking: “Besides F-words and wishing people death, can u articulate in a rational and calm matter your hostility towards Christ and the God of the Bible?” You had some very good questions for him. Specific questions are a wonderful way to find out if people really know what they’re talking about, if they have some valid rebuttals, and questions can also reveal to those people if they need to find out what they believe….but I can see you already know that.

The article about the Just War Concepts was awesome and I hope to be able to ask some of my anti-war friends about what they think. We’ll just see what I get.

What does your Church or what do your Church leaders believe regarding the War in Iraq? I too believe that Christians have had incoherent answers about this issue, and it frustrates me to no end!!

Those pictures reminding us of who is committing the evil didn’t show up. But I agree with you that we, as rich Americans, need to be reminded of the horrible things being done in Iraq. It frustrates me when all around us people are complaining about the most trivial things while people are suffering so much more in other countries. I know that I am guilty of complaining sometimes as well, but it’s always good to remind one of the worse things happening in the world to keep things in perspective. Making sure that Americans know of the evil going on in Iraq is a vital part of the success of the War.

It’s marvelous that you write poetry!! I confess that I didn’t get a chance to read EVERYTHING out of every article or all of your poems, but I hope to be able to go back to all of the poetry and read all of them! When did you start to write poetry? Have you always been interested in it?

How long did you serve in Iraq? I wanted to thank you for your FAITHFUL service to our country!!!! Thank you for all the SACRIFICES you have made. Thank you for DEFENDING many people’s FREEDOM. Thank you for keeping many people SAFE. Thank you for fighting for a JUST cause. Thank you for GLORIFYING God in defending our country. Thank you for being a very educated soldier who knows many ends about this war. There are SO many things I could THANK YOU for!

(This was looongg….I hope you get back to me…thanks for the time you put into the last comment!)
