Back from my Marines training...

(Sharing some personal things going on in my life...)

What a weekend...

I missed Mother's Day due to the Marines training

I had a term paper due today and I had to work on it last night being so tired and exhausted from the Marines training this weekend

THen I had to skip all my classes today, and I ran to school to print it and turn it in, but I missed class and the teacher by a couple of minutes...

I skipped Breakfast and Lunch and snack to finish it...and still didn't make it on time

I'm kind of fustrated.

So please pray that my paper would somehow still get a decent grade...

This is going to be bad for my grade in that class...everytime I have to turn in a paper, I have the Marines training that weekend before

And next week, I will be going to Maryland to my Sister's Naval Academy graduation and her wedding and I have a paper due after that...

On top of that, there's the usual anxiety about when our unit would deploy in a combat zone again.

Its the waiting without knowing when it would happen that makes it difficult.

Feel like I'm living in three worlds sometimes.

Anyways, I'm hungry, gotta go eat then come back and visit your pages...!

Plus, I'm so sore and tired

Praying. One of the girls dads in my Girl Scout troop is being deployed to Iraq for a year at the beginning of June.

WOW your sister is in the military also??  Sounds like you will have a busy weekend coming up!

I know it must be nerve wracking, wondering when you could be deployed....but God is in control and he certainly has a plan for you!!

I'm praying for you Jim. It's hard to be under so much stress all the time. Don't worry about commenting or visiting if you don't have enough time -- we'll understand.  Just post briefly to let us know that you are alive and well, and to give prayer requests and answers. Loving prayers - Carolyn

Pres Bush talked about the immigration thing, he made some very good comments. He said the ones that are here illegally should pay taxes and pay a penalty, and if they are productive citizens with no bad records, they could apply for citizenship, in line after people that are doing it legally. And he said, remember we are talking about people whose lives are affected. It was a very good solid speech, and maybe that's why the media didn't talk after, they couldn't tear it apart.

I was thinking about getting it in O.T., just like my father did, but wherever the Lord leads me. I might do systematic theology, since I like it so much. Hopefully I can start soon! How ya doin bro? Classes finish ok?

In Him,

Ross

Jimmy we serve a God that has us in the palm of his hand.  Rest in God my brother and know that all things are working for you good.  Know that you are alway in my prayer and that I ask God to be a fence about you in this time of you life especially.  Rest my dear brother.  Rest...

Wow...things are crazy for you huh...I'll be saying a prayer for you!

Too bad you missed mothers day..what a stinky time to have training, however, these things do need to be done. When/if  you find out you are being deployed, I hope you have enough time to post a quick note to let us know ok? This way we can pray knowing 'where' you are.

I hope your paper passes and therefor, doesn't hurt your grade! Are you looking forward to your sisters wedding? Are you able to get a head start on that paper that is due right after the wedding? Sometimes, there just aren't enough hours in a day!!!!!!!!!!

Peace to you today!

RYC-- I am not graduating... not for another 3 semesters but the office of the school that I work in, Conference and Events Services, is *in charge* of graduation. we coordinate all of the efforts across campus among the different departments and staff to make it happen-- making sure everything is there, all the name tags and "Reserved" labels are on the seats of the important people, the audio-visual staff is there and working, catering staff is there and working, etc. Then, we have to make sure that the receptions for the various majors after the ceremony are going well, as that is where the students get their diplomas. it just makes for a very very long day-- i had to be at work by 6am, and catering had to be there making sandwiches as early as 4am.
(which I know for you military people isn't early at all but still)

my own graduation will be nice-- i won't have to worry about any of it!
