Marines training this weekend

THank you for all of those who prayed for me this week...it was a blessing!

I will have the marines training on SATURDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

Pray for SUNDAY, as we will be having a squad competition and the course where we run is for six miles (I'm out of shape for running!)

I am working on writing a Character letter of Recommendation for one of my former manager who's joining the marines as a Marine Officer

Speaking about Joining the Marines, I thought I share this video clip of Marines Enlisted Boot Camp:

Yeah we're up here near the National Forest, but not quite inside of it... where we live used to be a tree nursery, and they knocked all the trees out and built homes. It's kind of sad :(

It has been the longest week ever.... arrggghhhh ... and it'll be a long week more. ANd DANG you have more marine's training? It never endssss. I'm sorry our weeks have been long together... maybe we'll learn something great in the long run. Ha ha ha. The LONG run.
Okay I'm lame.

You'll do great Jimmy, you'll battle through. I'm praying for you.

GOD BLESS!

Well, Jimmy ~ I have the highest respect for you...not only because you serve the MOST HIGH GOD, but that you are also a MARINE!!  You are willing to fight for our country. I pray that you will do well on the six-mile run and that the weather will be perfect. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD!! ~Carolyn

I agree w/ Carolyn (razehell) statment.

On another note, last night our evening news did a report on a base in Grand Prairie Tx, a training facility for the Army, there was no security what so ever and all the military vehicles were left w/out anyone to guard them PLUS, the dorms where the soldiers live also had no security...I thought that was odd, one of the soldiers said it was "money" problem.

- Is this common among military bases in our nation?

Jimmy, good to see you honorably serving in both kingdoms.  That is why we are saved for kingdom purposes.

I remember seeing a recruitment video when my brother joined the Marines years ago. It is pretty impressive ~Thanks for sharing that! I am praying for the training, competition, race, & for the letter you are writing. ( I'm sure those activities must be using different parts of the brain, but God owns your brain ~ He is in control!) RYC's: Thank you for the kind words about the word study that I did. Hmmm... do I do lots of word studies? Not really, but I enjoy doing them. I have always had such a love of words; and I'm a teacher, so I enjoy sharing the things that I learn (a life-long process!). And yes, I had a great lunch and afternoon with my friend! Thanks Have a great (& busy & tiring & successful weekend! )
