BACK FROM XANGA BREAK...

Wow, I've been "gone" for a while...but it was a much needed break from Xanga and the computer...

THank you all for those who prayed for my message at Chinese Faith Church on Sunday...

man_e0.gif

I was so nervous with the timing (30 minutes), since I am use to preaching for forty five minutes...I spent much time preparing to be as brief as possible!

I was so nervous and I think I spoke too fast that I was done in twenty minutes!

Earlier on Saturday I went with Nancy to San Deigo to visit my sister and her husband...since they were tired after working a long week with the Navy, they didn't join us when we went Kayaking at La Jolla

I leave you with these verses to meditate upon (that I also preached from as well):

"22You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." (Ephesians 4:22-24)

Glad to hear your sermon went well.

RYC: I did not go full-time. The managers did not get back to me on whether or not I am/or can fully go to full time, but I did get moved up in position from being a cashier to being in customer service. I plan on just going for part-time benefits instead. At least it will be something.

RYC::: I watched as lives were touch, as mine was changed, and as others grew. So I suppose that my own life was touched as well as others.

That's true, I will need to finish this series of articles by finally discussing the fallibilities of the republican party as well... it's made up of many worldly people and falls prey to the evils of this present world as well.

NIce post. Much missed..Haha..Um..I think we are going to see Wicked. My friend is ReAlLy into musicals so between her & my grandparents we found it. I'm SoO excited..Oo & I am having soo much fun @ school..instead of being so worried & stuff before I'm totally fine & I don't care how many people know how much I've changed b/c I think it's AwEsOmE!!! I'm def. enjoying the "new" me..lol..O & can you please pray for one of my friends...Her name is Jessie. Her mom, who is basically *everyone's mom has liver failure..she's getting worse. She is 100% all about God but her husband isn't & I know even when someone has such a strong faith losing them still hurts. Jessie is a junior & has taken care of her mom along w/ her dad for years now so it's going to be really tough.. The doctor said that she would be lucky to see Jess graduate..or even beat it to Christmas.. It's terrible but I know it's God's Will..It just seems so wrong for it to happen but hopefully good things can come from it..I know she has made such an impact on so many lives so I just hope that people will really remember how great of a Christian she was. Please just keep her and her family in your prayers..Love from your Sis IN Christ*

Will do- I got a letter from them Saturday, stating that they want me to continue with the application process! (I just need to make a better Math and English ACT score by Feb. 2007)

Your comment is encouraging, confirmation from God. Why? I was a bit nervous about whether or not I posted the right message (it was an irrational nervousness, seeing that the message is from God), God was comforting my conscience, and your comment is icing on the cake.

About your training for the campus battlefield, a Japanese (I think) saying comes to mind: "bleed in the dojo, (and you'll) smile in the fight"

Welcome back.  I'm glad the preaching went well.  I've heard that it's harder to do a short sermon than a long one.  I imagine you were nervous.  I'd fall apart at the idea of speaking in front of people.  I got butteflies leading a Sunday school class of 5th and 6th graders.  :)

ryc:  I'm glad you came by to see that post.  I wanted you to know that I wasn't really questioning the fact that predestination is true or scriptural or not.  I guess I was having a confused moment and wanted to toss it out there for others to respond.   Actually I was at a Bible study and one of the leaders made a statement.  I knew what she meant but someone else in the class took it another way.  I had a hard time explaining the concept.  I was hoping if I put it up for others that I could come up with a better way.  It would seem that the majority of the commentors have the same thoughts on the subject.  It's one of those things that is difficult to understand.  I don't really think it's completely necessary to understand it either.  Our job is to "go therefore...." right?  So I'll check the scriptures again, ask God to help me (and my friend) to understand it the best He wants us to and move on.  Oh yeah, and I'm going to read your article too.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Be God's.
