Yes, for lack of a better description, I am a "partial-preterist" but with a lot of leaning towards the fact that when Jesus does return, its over. However, I believe things will get worse before He returns, simply because when after all those God has chosen are saved, the rest will not care and then it will be far worse. Jesus' return know one knows the day or hour, and much of what was written in the NT, including Revelation, describes the destruction of Jerusalem. I therefore believe Revelations was more then likely written before 70 AD. Most biblical theologians before the 20th Century thought so too. Many good biblical scholars now think so as well. We only have ONE earlier reference as to John writing it at a later date (90-95 AD). And it is this one reference that many modern day end timers use. When I found out that early church history did not all support John's writing it later, I was dumbfounded because that was all I had been taught. The historical truth is a whole lot different. One of the best books on this subject was written by Jerry Newcombe, called Coming Again, But When? It may be out of print but you can still get it on some bookstore websites, even Amazon. He does an excellent job in sorting out the confusion. IN fact, besides End Times Visions, by Abanes, it is the best work I have seen in a long time on the subject. And believe me I have read many, many texts on it including most of those written by the cults, like TBN, JWs, Mormons, and Seventh Day Adventists. Most of these adhere to Darby's tired old arguments as espoused by Scofield.

By the way, few realize in our day and age that Scofield was not seen as a purveyor of Biblical truth by most of the churches of his day. They saw it for what it was, JW and Adventist teaching. In fact, many held he was heretical in his teachings, including most of the Baptist denominations and all of their seminaries! It was because of this dispute that some of the Baptist groups we now know of were formed because you had ill-informed congregations and ill-trained or self-taught pastors who jumped on Socfield's bandwagon as the latest fad of the day. They did the same thing with Pentecostalism, Four Square, and C and MA as well. Like closed communion or KJV only controversies have done in the past. Sound familiar?

RYC: Yes, it does seem amazing that a couple can stay together from age 13 on....but then God is in the miracle business

Hey Jim, I trust things are well. I've been watching Daily Show regularly now since my colleagues raves about Jon Stewart's humor. You have to admit it's witty considering Stewart is a Canadian. Moreover, the Daily Show , ironically has a way of informing viewers the absurdity of today's current events with humor. Check out the shows at www.thedailyshow.com

Take care

I pray you will have a great week in the Lord Jim !

I'll try to drop by a highspeed site to watch this video again it was choppy and slow on my dialup .

So many times their religion is twisted into a reason to opress and murder it opens itself to people who say they are excused from the rules of their god since they are a tool of their god and some how it makes since on others like them with hate in their hearts .

 God bless !

Hey Jimmy, thanks for stopping by on my site. I'm back in Trinidad now and will update soon on some exciting things happening here in my ministry. We are now in partnership with Ligonier ministries and will be broadcasting next year for 5 hours a week on the radio with RC Sproul, John MacArthur, John Piper and my radio program. We are also planning a Ligonier conference next year here in the Caribbean!! Hope you can make it down here sometime with a team from your church.
