Yes! I know it is!! It is HARD to get back into the habit of blogging...of even reading my subs! I have been so busy for such a long time, that now it seems odd to be on xanga. BUT! That can change right? And people can change...if not, I might as well give up the ghost right now!
So, I am here, reading subs, and forcing myself to get back into the habit. It's especially hard since I discovered we can now get my favorite cable channel....HGTV!!! For whatever reason, it's "bleeding" through with our other channels...and I know from past experience that it will probably disappear as quickly as it came (same thing happened with SciFi and Hallmark, but alas, they are no more), but until then I shall enjoy it.
However, I don't want it to keep me (any longer! =o>) from my xanga friends. I really do have some dear friends on here, that I care about, therefore, I must keep in touch. Nuff said...on to greener pastures.....
Prayer request: My son-in-law Travis is in the hospital for the second time since Thanksgiving. They are trying to get his asthma under control. His medications are causing his blood pressure and heart rate to rise. He will be in at least until Sunday or Monday. His family is watching the baby, while Myklin is trying to be there for her hubby. I am on call to see if they need me. Appreciate any prayers you can send their way.
Happiness: Having grandkids living next door! What a blessing it has been to have those sweet babies so close! I know they will be there only a short time, so I am getting all I can get....without being a pain. Love having Faith run to me with her arms open wide when I walk in the door. Love seeing Micah do his "superman" impression on the floor, all the while drooling and grinning happily. Love hearing Faith say "Ewww!!!" when brother slobbers on her. I know that great-grandma and grandpa are loving having the kids stay with them as well. Lots of time is spent every day just playing.
Note to self: Next time be cautious about setting Comet down next to a bowl of grapes on the countertop. (Ewww!!!)
Forgot: How great the music was to National Treasure. Currently watching it with my hubby, and when the music came on, it gave me goose-bumps. Good stuff Maynard.
Had a great fall: I took a fall a couple of days ago. We had some ice falling, and I tell you the truth, it looked wet, but not slick. I walked into our barn, careful to step up over the threshold, and thought, "Boy! That is slick!!!" I walked back out the door not 20 seconds later (forgetting ALREADY how slick it was), and before I knew it, I was flat on my back on the ground.
Michael is very happy I didn't bust my head open, as it hit rather hard on the door. I could have hit it on the concrete or the threshold. I landed with my back smacking not only the ground but the threshold (And again, Mike is happy I didn't break my back or neck). The threshold is pretty high, I'd say 6 inches or so. Also grateful I could get up and not lay out there for a long time before anyone came looking for me. Bruised and sore, but God was watching over me!
Reminds me of a little skit I did as a kid....We acted out Humpty Dumpty and said:
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men,
COULD put Humpty together again.
But the next day....
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men,
COULDN'T put Humpty together again.....
So they all had scrambled eggs for breakfast!
Blessings y'all! Don't break a leg!
