  • You'll have to excuse my complain fest yesterday...it happens.

The day ended up not being so horrible anyway. I don't know why but sometimes I feel a little claustraphobic down here and need to get out and do something. It's just the way I am. So I did.   Hosanna and I went to the park. Where I made myself be really cool with photography.  I'm not a photographer, I just like to take pictures...as you know, mainly of Hosanna. And I've been attempting to take some better pictures at the shop. so I might as well figure out how to actually USE my camera, ha ha.

I learned something...pictures taken in black and white and sepia tones make me seem like I know so much more then I actually do...it's GREAT!

So that's the park. We had fun. Then last night we had a concert at the shop. Lots of kids. Which was really nice. Maybe that was my problem this week...the shop's been so slow! Last night however made up for it. Honestly I don't care if no one buys anything, I just like having people in there! ha ha

So along the lines of photos. Here's some of Josh. This is why I've decided I need to know about my camera a little better, so I can capture what is going on in the shop at least adequetely. (which I am aware I can't spell that right)

So...I tried a bit. but man it's hard to take photos of a moving man...you photographically inclined mommas, you are so talented!

Josh likes the last one. Its blurry...but he likes that about it.
I tell you he's blinded by the sepia tone. you could take a picture of a turd in a sepia tone or black and white and it would look good!

    very cute pics!!
RYC: i have tried. he just denies anything is wrong. he won't even really talk about it.

i think your pictures are beautiful! in all my picture taking i've learned that all it really takes is a good eye and a decent camera. & i agree...black and white or sepia can make any picture look beautiful. i usually take everything in color then edit it later.

Hosanna always looks cute...but she looks so PRETTY in that first picture! Wow-- you can tell what she'll look like when she's grown!

you're right, black and white can make almost anything look great.
Has anyone ever told you Hosanna looks like Josh? heh, just kidding. Actually in the first pic especially I think she looks like you a lot too.
Don't forget to take pics of Hannah and band! I know...you wouldn't.

I've never noticed Hosanna's eyes before....they are the prettiest color!  Looks like you have a great camera!  Sepia does make just about any picture look great...lol  Glad you got a break you needed.

you know that's interesting, cause wes and I are together every day too, at home or just whatever. but still it's so nice to know that we have a day that we can do whatever we want together instead of working together. I totally understand that you need a break from the shop even if it is with your family. but yeah, it's also totally something to be thankful for to have so much time with our husbands. I'd miss that a lot if we ever went to the traditional, "man works out of woman, woman stays home" situation.

nice pics. wes likes blurry ones too, ha ha. so, your shop is in a basement?

Lovely! It is definitely hard to get good photos sometimes! That's when I am so thankful for digital! Just take a million photos and hopefully one is good. = ) Especially when your subject is never still for a second.

RYC; it is scary and sad and seeing him only happened twice. we stopped anything before it started. like i said in my post, this has nothing to do with the other guy. its all me and jim.

I think you have a right to complain! i'D BEfrusterated being in the shop everyday myself! I love these playground pics! She looks so cute in her tigger outfit! Taking pics of a moving target is hard! you did a good job

I LAUGHED OUT LOUD at your baby ticker up top-- "I weigh a pound? Wow! Thats like an entire pound heavier than Kate Moss!" That CRACKED ME UP!

I love your photos. I especially like the blurry one of Josh too. It's like he's moving at light speed. I like it.

I have a photographer friend who likes to use b&w and sepia for shots that came out blurry. She does a lot of weddings and when she gets a great emotional shot but it's blurry, she puts it to b&w. Suddenly, it doesn't look blurry, it looks "soft". It's amazing how removing color from a picture can change the way we view it!

I love the photos of your fam. Keep it up!!

Beautiful pics. Especially the blurry one of your husband. I personally ADORE sepia. It really makes the world around us come to life in a whole different way!

Keep on taking pictures. You're really good at capturing those *precious* moments that only a mom and wife can capture. :)

    Peace,

    Jamie
