I've been anticipating July to be busy. And then June was busy...who knew. Here I am, now into July. and I am feeling busy. That I don't like. There's a difference to being busy, and feeling busy. When I feel busy I get crabby, and shut down...and I'm probably not all that delightful. Will you pray that the Lord gives me peace in the chaos...so that I can love it, and soak it up, and enjoy life...rather then freaking myself out far to much then necesarry.
I've mentioned that we have some lovely folks coming to stay with us next week, Odon Soterias. I'm so much looking forward to this experience...We have a lot planned, but it's going to be a lot of fun just hanging out.
This weeks plan was to get things all planned out and ready to go for the next couple of weeks, because when Odon leaves, we have another band coming up the very next day for a couple of days, followed by another band coming up the very next day...into that next weekend where the coffee shop is joining the community in a festival, by providing the music...that following Monday, Hosanna and I head to Florida to visit our family....so yes, the plan was to plan. Because I fear a lot will get lost in the shuffle in the next couple of weeks.
Then we met some friends. My sister picked up a couple of hitchhikers.
Turns out they're really cool. We've enjoyed their company the last couple of days, Josh has had the opportunity to share a lot of Jesus with them. I pray that this first stop on their journey out west will only be the beginning of Jesus revealing his love to them in a very real way.
This morning they left, and I'm off to help my friend who is getting married this weekend, make place cards...oh yeah, did I mention that? Both Josh and I are in the wedding...hee hee. Chaos I tell you, Chaos!
And of course some Hosanna at the parade pictures from yesterday's fourth of July festivities...

waiting for the parade to start

collecting the goods.

her stash of candy that I'm trying to get rid of asap!
do you see her little tattoo? She's so proud of it, because Daddy has one in almost the same spot.

ryc: I would love it so much if you came to cornerstone next year...you should definitely plan on it. We're praying about getting an rv and if we do you're welcome to spend all the time you need in it..especially with the new babe and all. :)
Hitchhikers are great. I used to pick them up all the time. Don't tell my mom. Hitchhiking was part of the process of one of my best friends coming to Christ, she kept getting picked up by Christians!
I've been so busy too. It's fun, but it takes such a toll on you! My house is a disaster because of it.
And, as Vanessa said, you should come to Cornerstone next year! I am going to put a huge effort into making it happen next year. The only thing I can see ruining it would be if I was pregnant and due at that time. I was joking with Vanessa that I'd go anyway and just have a UC. You could help! Haha.
florida sounds nice. i hope you have a good time on your trip.
