I ended up calling the midwife last night. I was having contractions...not bad ones, but contractions none the less about every 5-10 minuets apart. I told her I didn't think it was much and was thinking they may go away. She decided to come anyway, because it sounded like the real deal to her.
She came, by the time she got there the contractions had in fact died down. She checked me anyway...3 cm and at least 80% effaced. For those with out birthing knowledge, that means action did happen yesterday! The babe is low and is in fact working her way out. yay! The midwife stayed the night in case things picked up. They didn't.
Small contractions like yesterday have been present all day today. But the midwife did go home. She thinks we may go into full labor tonight. Though she also shared a story of a girl who did the same thing...only she dialated to 5cm...then everything went away and she had the babe a week later. I pray that isn't me...but I'm not holding my breath either. heh.

Yay! I was in labour for 36 hours before I got to 3cm. Can't wait to hear the good news!

yep. the same thing happened to me. I was 3 cm and 80% effaced and having regular contractions for 2 weeks before Elijah was born. but lets just hope that's not you. hopefully the little one will come soon!!
