(I don't know who they are - but I'm glad you're excited.) By the way, Laith is 19 months and everyone talks about how small he is and always has. People have even told me that I need to give him cow's milk instead of breastmilk (he still breastfeeds 1-3x per day...) because the FDA says...whatever. I don't even know. She looks healthy and wonderful, and I know you know that. I do agree with some of the other comment-ors, people don't see newborns out that much. I've had one and I still think even 9 or 10 pounders look like preemies. We just forget, I think. Because they change so fast.
If you'd be willing, I'd like to talk to you sometime about tandem breastfeeding. We just found out we're pregnant, only 5 weeks, and we're not really "announcing" it yet, but my fertility acupuncturist has advised me to wean because she had twins and actually said it was a stressful tandem breastfeeding relationship (although, they were twins, so it's different), and then my midwife/friend has advised me to because of my last miscarriage and wanting my progesterone levels to be high/nothing funky to be going on to "hang on" to this baby. I've always wanted to tandem breastfeed, so much...I don't know why. It's a really strong desire. I've been doing a lot of research and we've been checking my prog. levels and I'm trying to figure it out, pray about it, make the best decision. I don't even know how to go about weaning Laith. Even just limiting him, since we've found out we're pg, has been sad and stressful. I've always wanted to do child-led weaning, but I don't know. I just wanted the reality, pros and cons, of someone in the thros of tandem bfing.
