5/6 Last Day in NY - Part 1

Rode train from Astoria to Chinatown...40 mins!! ><

Had dimsum and went to Soho. I really liked the cheap designed t-shirts at UNIQLO. I wish we had one here.

Waited for friends to arrive at Union Square.

I think I learned something about this place in history class...but I forget...

Union Square... Why don't we have one in LA? Seems like every city has a Union Square...
At first I thought it was only the New England states, but then SF has one too...

The er...Asian Pacific American stuff...though the entire time I was wondering...where's the food?

Mickey D was there...for some reason...
Oh, and they were giving out prizes!!!

The scary Ronald McDonald clown...
I think he eats little kids, that's why his mouth is always red...
BTW, I heard they get paid as much as a doctor...
and no Ronald McDonald can appear 90 miles within each other.
Yes, there is an army of flesh eating Ronald McDonald. I think there are about 50 of them just in US alone...

Next stop...Columbia University!

Their cafeteria has really good sanwiches!
By this time the unpleasant feelings has been cleared off because I was granted a little request.

Tomorrow I'll continue with Time Square stuff...

40 mins is nothing. My commute out is like 1 hour and 20 mins lol Ooo, I was there at the Asian American Festival too.

i was just amazed at how many people were just hanging around outdoors. rarely do we see this in so cal unless there is a special occasion or event going on.

Ahhh Its so nice !! I wish we had a Union Station as well in Japan they had a similar thing lol . Im glad your enjoyig yourself LoL ohh and I gotta give you tons of thanks for the Ronald McDonald info I swear that clown Pwns!! They should have him invade Iraq LOL !! Yes I know im wierd but umm yeah =P

I'm loving your travelogue of New York; I've been there a couple of times myself, but never enjoyed it as much as you did. I agree with you about the Ronald McDonald character, the child eating conspiracy is a good one. Once he has "eaten" them as a child, Happy Meal and all, he has them for life! I'm glad I grew up in a small town in northern Minnesota where they never had a McDonald's until after I moved away from the area.

it's just a nice place to sit/shop/relax and there aren't too many tourists like there are in Times Square. it's the spot where the young crowds of the hip neighborhoods (like Soho, Chelsea, and the Village) connect... and also near where I go to school (NYU)!
