The more research and study I do, the more clear it is that any speculation I have about anything is incomplete. It is as if I were one of the blind people from the blind people and the elephant story. (瞎子摸象) (7 blind people were meeting an elephant for the first time, and they started touching it with their hands. One of them claimed the elephant looks like a fan as he was touching the ear. Another claimed it looks like a trunk as she was touching the leg...and so on...)
I am greedy, I wish I could have all the understanding in the world to be able to view things more justly. Even the researchers and the scientists are skewed from their own views. In Industrial/Organization Psychology, there is this simple manipulation of the brightness level in the workspace that would affect the productivity. In Fengshui, there is the same thing. Different names for the same things, however, scientists "proved" fengshui is superstition. (I believe there is a function to the ancient knowledge, we just haven't discovered it yet. Just like we have recently discovered anti-oxident and such in foods that keep us healthy, but it was deemed no nutritional value not long ago...)
Still, the knowledge out there is too vast, and I don't think I'll be able to get to them all...

Always believe the wisdom of the ancients and then add the present day science.
you sound very intelligent sir
Don't bother with sucking it all in....haha.
uhmmmm the Hawthorne effect (i think that's what it was called)... the changing of the brightness of the lights didn't affect the productivity of the workers... it was the fact that they knew they were being observed...or that's what i remember from my psych classes
瞎子摸象? erm dont forget many successful theories/inventions were came from imagination which considered ridiculous at that time =) the world is keep going on, just learn as much as we can...
So what are you trying to say?
The knowledge is vast. You don't need to get them all - no one does. It's the journey that's more important.
@brad81280 -
really? :D
Oops
errr ok
If you knew it all then life would get boring very quickly...
@whonose -
No way! That's when the fun starts and I get to play with the big kids like Einstein and others on making educated guesses and do experiments to prove they are true!
i have to agree with whonose up there :) stay simple and you'll find fulfillment.
but, of course, extra knowledge makes life a lot easier.
