Homogeneity
Schedule gogogo (eeep).
0 | 004 | 0505 | French Lang-AP
1 | 189 | 0808 | US History-AP
2 | 298 | 0774 | Physics-H
3 | 906 | 0993 | Unsched/3 <- ughhhhh (I like how it has its own sec# and course ID)
4 | 455 | 0255A | Comp Sci AB-AP
5 | 352 | 0563 | Calculus BC-AP
6 | 658 | 0322 | AP-EngLang&Comp
Analyses:
French - Sleepy time (Must... stay... awake... or... be... eaten...)
APUSH - Sleepy time (Must... stay... awake... or... be... eaten...)
Physics - Sleepy time (Must... stay... awake... or... be... eaten...)
Unsched - Homework time (or reschedule to sleepy time)
Compsci - Homework time (lolwut)
Calc BC - Semi-sleepy time (meh hopefully lunch will perk me up a bit)
English - Panic time (YES I have english last ^_^ thank goodness, two extra hours to work on that essay I haven't started)
So, the good - the pain is evenly distributed throughout the day, english is last (heck yes), and I pretty much can work on homework straight from break through 'til lunch. The bad - I have a hole in my schedule, and I'm gonna sleep a lot :(. Oh well.
I hope they open up that new AP bio class, but I seriously have no idea what the heck's going on with policy because I think the counselors aren't applying it consistently. Meh, it doesn't make sense to me that IB stuff is separated from class scheduling, because it seems that IB tests play a massive role in determining what classes you can take. However, generally there should be almost no exceptions to a barring of doubling up. The exception I can think of would work as detailed below (generally assuming that a student takes two sciences to fulfill requirements of groups 4 and 6):
Junior year - two science SLs
Senior year - math HL, eng HL, hist HL, lang SL
This can be circumvented, however, iff the student is taking calc bc as a junior (if the student takes calc bc as a senior it must be coupled with ap statistics or that out-of-class thing for HL) -
Junior year - science SL, math SL
Senior year - science HL, eng HL, hist HL, lang SL
Any student taking a language SL their junior year is automatically out of the running to take two science classes, and may not need to take any science class at all (that year) if taking math SL as a junior (however said student will then probably have to take two science classes senior year and therefore may have to take math SL/HL as a senior if the ban on doubling up is applied to all students, not just juniors).
My conclusion - the only exception where doubling up would be allowed would be a student who is taking <Language> 4 senior year and intending to take math as a HL test.
Actually, wait. In that case, it might even be possible to take math HL, eng HL, hist HL, lang SL, sci SL/HL, ToK/philo, APgovecon.
Ok, modified conclusion.
The only exception where doubling up would be absolutely necessary for IB would be a student who is taking <Language> 4 senior year, taking math HL, and does not intend to kill him/herself with five IB tests senior year AND/OR has some other class senior year like ROTC IV.
This does not take into account weird exceptions such as an HL secondary language, SL design tech in junior year (but I think that's out anyways since you only need a science for group 4 then), crazy advanced students like Alexander Pusey/Ramirez/Raqueerez, and flying cows.
Bleh. If I have any holes in my logic/thinking/whatnot please comment, as I've been out of my mind for a while lately. Anyways the thing is I just wish the counselors wouldn't let some students get away with saying "Oh I need this for IB let me in kthxbai" without even checking what is going on or whatnot, or just letting the kids sign up for whatever without considering policy (somehow getting into ap stats and calc concurrently much?). Blah whatever, hopefully it'll work out in the end. Avila was nice enough to note that I could come back and see about any openings once school starts (she's a really nice person, so I kinda feel bad bugging her about it >_<).
Anyways, other than that, orientation was pretty neat. It was good to see people again (my apologies for being grouchy or ~_~-ish today >_>). I also claimed a locker in the squad bay, so it'll be nice not having a locker on wheels this year. Yay the end of a relatively long post, back to work now.

Burgess Shale
Ahhh Claudio Arrau is a master. Yay, rubato?
Two weeks.
I am in denial <_>. I want to go immerse myself in a virtual world and just forget that this life exists. Heh I always wanted to do that, just depart this world and live in some fantastical world (minus the pixelated nature of FFI/FFII lol). I'm going to miss being able to sleep until 1300 and actually remembering what happened in my dreams, heh. It's nice to be able to remember vividly what happened in them, even if they're only brief snatches or glimpes or random scenes. I recall one time I was in a massive multiplayer local area networked RPG that started in Liem's room and somehow ended up in the wilderness where a small formation of friends were trying to get over a fence past a building into a small ravine. Fun stuff :). Once sleep deprivation starts, all I can remember is that "something must be archived, it must be done, no, it's not being done, ahhhh don't touch that bookshelf" and weird chaos =_=. Laziness is prevailing as strongly as the prevailing westerlies blow.
Anyways, a random anecdote: tonight my dad and I were walking down to the Home Depot across the 91 to get some stuff (our water heater got replaced and some kinks are being sorted out). On our way, we saw a sign that stated something roughly along these lines: "Lost: Mountain Lion. $1000 reward if found" xD. Lol, sure, we'll go looking for a mountain lion or try to return one.
4x100m freestyle men's relay.equals("EPIC"); //returns true
Edit: Oh shat, how could I forget the Perseids. Ahh if I didn't have piano tomorrow I'd stay up and just lie outside and watch the skies all night. :]

Doubleday
Randomness: I think I'll never be able to stomach Robitussin DM >_>. It's probably just me acting 1/5 of my age, but good gosh that stuff tastes horrible. It'd be nice if they had some other way to repackage the dextromethorphan and guaifenesin that didn't taste so sickening. Eh at least it deters recreational use and it works, yay.

Desu
Hmm life rolls along. Art class is gonna be done tomorrow, what a relief. So all I'll have to worry about for the last few precious weeks of summer will be scioly study (asdf) and njrotc stuff (asdf as well). And bracing myself for school. I really, really have to find a solution to my procrastination + laziness + sleepiness. It just takes a lot of self-discipline (which I don't have <_<) and a good work ethic.
Hrm random other stuff. I finally got my oceanography binder back. They kinda reorganized it and I think I lost a bit of material :/ but for the most part it's intact. My mom also banned me from video gaming >_> so there goes my hope of getting to level 48 for that Fox Binder V.1 lol. And I was just starting to get kills in Akron warring! D: haha. And NF released subs too ._. lol. Eh well I really have to work though, so I think it'll be good for me (I'll just lie dead in Rakion later today for WP, hehe). Hm today I was also reintroduced to that crude form of desu war o_O. Desudesudesu?
Rofl I have no life x].
That's about all I have to say... summer is quite plain lol.
Oh yea, and I need to visit ERCS again ._.. I hear many of the old teachers have left :(. *sighs*. Meh, change. Fryer, Walter (rest his soul :/), Sevier, Nelson, Myers, Mats?, Edel?, Smith, Holmstrom, Payne, Lambert, Riemer, Krisko, Bower, and who else... hrm. So many of the bestest and coolest teachers are out D=. I hope their successors are equally suited for the job...

Yay
That was COOOOOOOOL. :D. Stuff fell down all over the house. Lol my bookcase nearly toppled over >_> it was leaning quite haphazardly forward from the wall. So much for earthquake safety.
We need more earthquakes like that ^.^. YAY. Ahahaha oh man. My parents were like whoa :o strongest one since Northridge so long ago, hehe.
