Most Romatic Gift Challenge
Kween of the Queens Challenge this month is : Most Romantic Gift
Life used to be quite a bit different before we had 5 kids.. I can barely remember those days! I know that there was a lot of romance back then because there was always time and money. I look back at that and think that was too easy.
My favorite gift from my husband was right after Tori, baby #5, was born. She was not a difficult baby. I was just overwhelmed and had postpartum depression. One night my husband put all of the kids to bed early, made my favorite dinner, and used our best dishes. There were flowers and candles on the table and he had wine ready. After dinner he gave me a back massage, which he hates to do, and sent me to soak in our huge bath tub... which he filled with bubbles. He took care of cleaning up dinner dishes while I soaked and then sent me to bed just to sleep! He told me that I needed to sleep and he would wake up with the baby and give her a bottle when she needed it. My husband gets up at 4:00 am to go to work so this was amazing! I slept so well that night. Even though this was not romantic in a typical way I think this is one of the most romantic things... he put aside all of his wants and needs for mine and he did this all very happily. Doing something for your love that requires thought and a bit of sacrifice... thats Romance!

Oh MiLady!
I disagree with you! IT WAS TOTALLY ROMANTIC! I'm sure that every woman would love to be treated with such love and sweetness! And to think that he sent you to bed to sleep! Without even expecting sex. . .now THAT'S romantic! Thank you for sharing this wonderful story with us. You've been linked and starred!~Kween
That is a fabulously romantic gift.
What a fabulous thing to do! The most romantic gifts are spontaneous, and exactly what the recipient needs or wants. Which is exactly what you hubby did.
How sweet! That is truly a wonderful thing he did - right when you needed it. So thoughtful. peace
MY DEAR IF THAT IS NOT ROMANTIC WHAT IS??? BEAUTIFUL, UNEXPECTED, LOVING, DREAMY.....
RITA
What a fantastic Husband!
I think that kind of love is beautiful !
That's the kind of stuff that let's you know "he's a keeper"
That's a beautiful story. And it was very romantic.
I think that's a fabulously romantic gift. The most romantic gifts are the simple things that mean so much.
Yep...you should definitely keep him. (:
it's when you really need it that a gift beomes really romantic! Itäs the love that shine thorugh that adds the romantic touch!
ryc: thanks
That is really sweet. I can only hope to marry someone who thinks of kind romantic gestures such as this.
Dear Heidi,
This is so wonderful and such a great memory. I once went all out for a first date, which culminated in my making dinner for the gal. I had just met her and didn't know she was a vegetarian, and my steak dinner didn't make the impression I wanted.
However we did have a nice year together after that.
The most romantic things are not necessarily the most extravagant.
Michael F. Nyiri, poet, philosopher, fool

What a loving gesture. I am sure he thought about what he could do to make your day end well and so he did......very special.
This is a fantastic gift and gesture,
I do think that that's romantic!
I agree. That IS romance! What a lovely gift.
good story. but my wife loves surprises, and i like to surprise her in any ways i can. the best was i had gone to europe, and i was scheduled to come back on 15th march, but my assignments got over on 10th march. i told her as i am not in town, and my sister is coming from SA, just go and pick her from the airport. i took my sister in confidence. my wife called her up and she also told her that she'll landing in NY at 10:pm. so, everyting went according to the plan and when finally at 10:00pm i came out of the international lounge.....i like such surprises.
we dated for 7 years before marriage and now have a 2-n-half year old kid.
keep the romance alive in a relationship, all the best
regards
vikram
