  • This low-VOC, nontoxic, safe paint doesn't really live up to its "low-odor" claims. But it looks cool, so I'll forgive it. All the walls in the kitchen are now "engaging" blue, and the window wall in the living room is "spring vigor" green. I really, really like the colors - they're so bright and fun! - but they need a final coat in the morning.

The good and bad news is that we will have a ton of paint left over. So... do I (and my less enthusiastic husband) infuse more walls with spring vigor? I'm afraid the place will be too bright, and it will feel like we live inside a giant one-up mushroom. Ok, well, as small as our apartment is, it would only be a medium-sized one-up mushroom, but you get the point.

We explored the farmer's market this evening. It was neat - they had everything from herbs to bison meat to beets to coffee - but everything was expensive. (That's because it's local AND organic.) We bought a loaf of bread. I haven't even attempted making bread up here yet. I sense a lot of failing lies down that path.

My husband makes a really good sandwich. He's pretty great. And now my typing is keeping him up, so I guess that's all. Nite.

    'night!

I always keep the extra of a color just in case it needs touch up down the road.
And I just learned from my dad - it's best kept in plastic juice bottles b/c the lids keep it from drying out, and you can see what color it is when you need it and it's easy to pour.  Just fyi.
