Quote for Today
It was our own moral failure and not any accident of chance, that while preserving the appearance of the Republic we lost its reality.
-Marcus Tullius Cicero, statesman, orator, writer (106-43 BCE)
Strange, isn't it, that this was written over two thousand years ago? No matter how much things change, it's amazing how people stay the same. I can think of more than one specific area where this is quite applicable today.

This reminds me of another quotation that was something to the effect that one thing we learn from history is that we don't learn from history. Man has been making the same mistakes from the begining of time, and in some areas is no better than he was 2,000 years ago. Thanks for sharing this timely quote for today. God bless ~Judy
Oh, man! Ain't that the truth?
So true.. So true...
