Emotional Great Pa Meets Shea

This morning I had to wake up Shea. He has been staying up through the night and sleeping through the day. I know the "First Years"book says that he'll work it out on his own but I thought I'd try to help him (and myself) out a little along the way
Above: What a sleepy head!
Below: Waking up...
After he awakened, we had another busy day. We looked in after Niki as much as we could (he was still home sick), we went to the high school for a couple of hours so I could train a co-worker on bi-weekly grades, and best of all we went to Pleasantville to meet Great Aunt Cindy and Great Grandpa Vern. By the time we got home (7:30ish) Daddy was anxious to play and Shea accomodated him on that.

We can already see Shea getting bigger and stronger!

Awww, that last picture is so neat and shows off Shea's super Hermon strength.  It's nice to see Gpa, Gma and Aunt Cindy on here too.

I "helped" Blake get his days and nights switched back to normal too--my visiting nurse actually gave me some really good tips on getting them switched back to "normal" hours.  She said to wake him up every two hours in the day to nurse him, and it was amazing how that worked in just a matter of days.

Hope Niki gets to feeling better soon.  He's probably bummed to be missing out on the baby time.

And I know I've said this before, but Ginger, you look awesome.  This new mother look is definitely a good look for you!

I hope there isn't a max on how many times you can tell somebody that their child is cute, because I think I've said it every time I see Shea.  I really like the last couple of pictures.  He is definitely growing, and that last picture looks like he is anxious to start playing with his Dad and siblings.  What a cutie!

What a showoff!!!  He is really holding his head up well.  I loved it that both of my babies did that - it made them seem a little less fragile if they were able to hold their head well.

I can totally sympathize with the days and nights mixed up thing.  Camden did that for a while.  One day, we decided to just keep him up.  It was Andy's job to stay up with him all day -  lots of music, singing, playing on the floor, walking around looking at things.  That worked pretty well, along with the never-popular just letting him cry it out - he finally got tired enough to sleep through the night.  Of course, that was not a very good day for Andy.  Not only did he have to try to keep Camden awake (which made him feel like a meanie), but I took a nap and leaked all over the bed (you know what I'm talking about!!) and then he had a hysterical wife on his hands.  Ah - pregnancy hormones!!!

There's not a better present for the whole family than a fresh, new baby! He can't help but thrive in that love that is all around him. Those are precious pictures and videos- especially Vern and Nora Lee- those two are so precious to so many! Good to see Aunt (Grandma) Cindy-we are excited that Ben and  Emily are anticipating. Such a nice crop we have been having!
