Oswald Chambers:
"All of God's revealed truths are sealed until they are opened to us through obedience. You will never open them through philosophy or thinking. But once you obey, a flash of light comes immediately. Let God's truth work into by immersing yourself in it, not by worrying into it... If you obey God in the first thing he shows you, then he instantly opens the next truth to you... Yet God will never reveal more truth about Himself to you until you have obeyed what you know already. Beware of becoming one of the 'wise and prudent' (Matthew 11:25). 'If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know...' (John 7:17)."
Me:
What is it that you've been shown already that you must obey? This healthy introspection leads to obedience.

thanks.
You gotta think for a minute what that means, 'to obey' . I knew a pastor friend who told a 'seeker' that she should open the new testament to read with the help of God but only if she would say 'whatever you reveal to me I shall obey' and mean it so deep that it's kind of 'life or death.'
I'm so afraild when I see that obey thing. I shudder to think of that in the hands of a fundamentalist with a 'seeker'.
This obey thing is a permanent attitude that I keep. and Ephesians one: 17 jumped out at me. Our life is spent demasking the mysteries, or better, having the msysteries demasked to us all the life long..
Nobody believes me but that's okay. I'm used to it. Oswald Chamebers I loved. He helped me greatly. I loved him until read that he is a favorite of Bush's: I must have something wrong if Bush likes him. I think they just tell him smart things to say and he says them I cannot for the life of me tie in Bush and Oswald Chambers.
recommend " my utmost for his highest." I did it one whole year. Beautiful
Rev. George Moore Which church? Not saying;
that only leads to 'he's okayl'; "he's not okay". I'm okay, no matter what you say
