For those of you faithful readers who will see this, my most hearty thanks for still reading when this hectic writer gets time to write...
****************************************
So back in the lovely island of Hawaii, things were happening. Well duh you may say. But really. Things were happening. So Micheal was there with Aime and her family. Which isn't bad...but Aime could have wished for a little time away. But some other things were happening unbeknownst to many of them. Jordan decided to go home for a visit. He had been in Ohio for much too long. So he also showed up back in Hawaii.
But Micheal was pushing things a bit. He would not leave Aime alone. So she did something that she thought would have lost him. And it almost worked. Except that she meet Stuart. StuB. She decided she needed a little time to think so she took her board down to Waikiki and did a little surfing (and yes, she knows Waikiki is not the place to go to be alone but she was also trying to loose someone from following her). She got in the water and started doing what she missed everytime she went back to Ohio. She was heading back out to the breaks when she noticed this guy on the wave, steering straight for her. She yelled at him to turn but he kept heading straight at her. So she ditched and got out of his way. Her thoughts were not very charitable at that moment.
"Stupid tourists. Don't get out in the waves if you can't handle them."
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. But you didn't have to ditch. I didn't hit you."
Aime turned to see where the voice was coming from. It was the "stupid tourist".
"Oh." She felt a little weird. "Why were you acting like you were going to decapitate me then?"
"Because I didn't know any other way to get your attention."
"Oh." Now she really felt stupid. "Why did you want my attention? What's wrong with using words?"
"Um. That guy was one reason." And as he said that, he pointed behind Aime.
Turning to what he was pointing at, Aime's eyes told her what her sinking heart had already warned her of. There was Micheal sitting in the water on a surf board. Rolling her eyes and sighing, she turned back to him.
"I'm sorry about that. I didn't know. But now that I do, I should probably go and take care of it."
"Well, it looks like he's coming over here. Should I leave?"
"No! Please, really, its ok." At least that's what she said. She was thinking something more along the lines of "Great, what do I do now?"

Elsewhere...
Megan was working a night shift at the Toro Rojo and keeping up with things. It was a Wednesday night so it wasn't too busy. But steady. And of course Jonathon wasn't making things easy either. He had been coming steadily whenever she was there since Kirby's murder had been solved. And it wasn't bad...but she didn't care. But Jonathon knew ways to make girls care.
"Hello, Megan. Regular please."
"Jonathon, you don't have a regular."
"Well, in that case, give me a double extra hot soy lite mocha. No whip."
Megan just turned and did as she had been asked. When she turned to hand him the drink, he had a single rose waiting. She had to admit, he was good. But how good?
Because at the moment, Brett walked into the bar. Her face brightened a bit. And of course he came bounding over to the bar.
"Megan! I haven't see you in so long!"
"I know. How have you been?"
"Busy. And trying to get here for a while."
"Well then I'm glad you made it. What can I do for you?"
"Sobe please."
"Sure. Just a sec."
As she prepared his drink, he continued, "So how has work been?"
"Good. Steady but good. Here's your drink."
"Hey, um, are you busy on Friday night?"
"I don't believe so. Why?"
"Well, there's a concert in the park and I was wondering if you'd like to go...with me."
"I don't know..."
"C'mon. Please? Just this once and you don't have to do it again."
Megan had to laugh. Even she knew this wasn't true. What she did know was that Jonathan was sitting right there listening to every word. So she turned back to Brett and said:
"Sure. I'd love to."
-----------------------------------------------------
Jonathan walked out of the bar and pulled out his cell phone. He only needed to make one call. And things would be taken care of. He would ask Megan out tomorrow for the same time and same day and he would get the girl. But how remains to be seen...

While Aime and Micheal were getting settled in in Hawaii, things were developing in Undecided...
****************************************
Ashley was walking around a place you would never have thought to see her. She was walking down a hall in Thomas Gowen's lab. The better story, though, is how she got there.
See, things went something like this. There was a city function that local big whigs and other people were going to. Now for parties, Ashley knew how to dress. She look stunning in a mint green one-shoulder gown that was fitted to her knees and then got full again. Her hair hung softly on her shoulders while pale white roses gave her a faerieish feel and lovely scent. And of course, the usually faithful Caleb was at her side. He also looked good. But just good. There was no other way to describe him.
However, Ashley's attention was other places. The point of this function was to honor Thomas. He was being given an award by the city of Undecided in recognition of his "scientific" accomplishments. And Ashley was asked to present the award (she was only the best looking person there). And so she did.
Don't ask anyone how or what happened, but for some reason, when Ashley looked in Thomas's eyes tonight as she handed him that cliche piece of paper, he noticed. Thomas for THE first time, noticed a drop-dead gorgeous girl looking at - him! So after the ceremony and formalities, he sought her out. But that was a bad move. Because Caleb was standing there with her. But Ashley turned eagerly toward Thomas and began talking and doing all the little things a girl will do to get a little more attention. And it seemed to be working. So much so that she got an invite to see his work. And she of course accepted.
And so, Ashley was walking down the hall of Thomas Gowen's lab. But why were they pausing there? That doesn't make sense...Caleb, you better watch out!
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
Since the murder had been solved, Brett had had little excuse for calling Megan. Which is good and bad. Good because she had other things going on. Bad because it gave Jonathon Krive a chance to make a move.
He had sent anonymous flowers. That was step one. Step two was dropping by Toro Rojo just about every day and just talking. And as we all know, girls of Megan's type don't move fast. And Jonathan knows he knows.

I dunno when everyone will be getting this since most of you are at nationals. But I thought i would post just a little bit.
............................................................................................
Ashley Gue was sitting on her porch, thinking. Wrestling with her thoughts. Why did she feel like this? I mean, she had a great boyfriend, a great job. Why was she feeling discontent? Unfortuneately, the answer why came quickly to mind. Thomas Gowen. Even with the "perfect" life that she had, nothing quite satsified her now. Oh well, maybe this was just a passing infatuation. Then all these butterflies would be gone in a few days or maybe a week and everything would be back to normal. She would be more than happy and content with Caleb's smiles.
As this train of thought wrapped up, Caleb came driving up to her house. With a cheery whistle, he bounded up the stairs and had Ashley in his arms in two seconds flat. As she looked at him, she found herself remembering exactly why she had fallen in love with those big puppy dog eyes.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Aime was getting off her plane in the Honolulu airport and was sincerely happy to be getting off. Never before had the flight seemed so long. But it was over now and things would be back to normal soon. As soon as she adjusted to the time difference.
As she walked to the baggage claim to meet her family, she suddenly found a lei being dropped over her shoudlers. With total surprise and shock, she turned around to find Micheal standing there with a big grin on his face.
"Micheal! What are you doing here?"
"Taking a little vacation....and greeting you."
"But aren't you supposed to be in Undecided? Don't you have to work?"
"Nah. I had vacation time coming to me anyway."
"How did you know where and when I was coming in? How did you get here before me?"
"I asked your parents."
"You what?!"
And just as they finished this dialogue, they arrived at Aime's baggage claim and meet her family. This was going to be a weird vacation.

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while...here's a little something to fill the void.
------------------------------------
When Aime and Micheal reached his appartment, it took them a while to get in. No, they weren't being spoony but it can be a little difficult for a five foot two Japenese/caucasian girl to get a (how tall are you, Mike?) five foot ten mexican/caucasian guy into an apparment after he's been fighting and drinking quadruple espressos.
Anyway, they finally got in. Inside, Micheal was starting to turn spoony.
"You have beautiful eyes," he murmured as Aime bent over him where he had collapsed in a chair. "They kinda look like molasses in January."
Aime straightened quickly. "Thank you...I think." Her face looked like she was going to laugh but her voice was cold as January.
Aime let this go on for a while but when Micheal starting assuming that she was going to dinner with him next week, she had to put a stop to it.
"Micheal, you are not hearing what you're saying. You just found Grace dead and you're asking me already? I don't think so. Besides I'm not going to be here. I'm going to visit my family in Hawaii."
Micheal stared at her. Hawaii? In that case, where she goes, he would go. For now, he needed a break...
